Here, the action takes place in a bleak-looking battleground. Swords are stuck in the earth, abandoned helmets lie around, and it’s obvious some kind of fight happened here not long ago. Ash or snow drifts down, a banner flaps sadly in the wind, and the only thing we can really hope is that the good guys came out on top. If Thor was swinging Mjolnir, you’d assume they did.

That said, Thor’s presence doesn’t mean profits are assured. Thor 10K Ways is a highly volatile slot, and it comes with an RTP of 96.08%. The title is accurate too, as there are 10,000 ways to win, generated by a layout of 6 reels with 4 symbols on each, plus a 4 symbol horizontally spinning reel placed above. Unusually, there’s no bonus buy this time, so you simply choose a stake of 20 p/c to $/€20 per spin and keep firing spins.

Whenever winning symbols hit, they blow up via the cascade mechanic. New symbols then fall in or shift sideways to fill the empty spaces, and if another win forms, the cascade repeats, stopping only when no further win appears. While Bonus Respins is active, Hammer symbols may land on every reel, including the top reel.

Near Miss Bonus

When exactly 5 Hammer symbols remain in view after all cascade explosions have completed, the Near Miss Bonus triggers. Each Hammer symbol then awards either a prize or a bonus prize. Mini and Minor bonus prizes can be won more than once during this feature. The 10K, Grand, or Major bonus prizes may be awarded just once. In the base game and during the Near Miss Bonus, Hammer symbols appear only on the vertically spinning main reels.

Thor 10K Ways: Slot Verdict

Thor 10K Ways sits extremely close to Thor Infinity Reels, so it inherits many of the same strengths and weaknesses. On the plus side, it looks excellent, creates an enjoyable mood, and offers a fun world to drop into for a while. The numbers are respectable, and nothing about the package feels like a major turn-off. This is especially true for fans of Norse Mythology, and judging by how many games keep using the theme, there are plenty of them.

Still, while Thor 10K Ways delivers a lot that’s decent to good, it doesn’t bring much that feels standout. In fact, most of what’s here can be found across earlier ReelPlay titles such as Shamrock Money Pot 10K Ways, Festival 10K Ways, or Fu 10K Ways. One notable change is the Near Miss Bonus, and anyone landing 5 Hammer symbols and still getting a reward will likely be delighted it exists. Even better, it’s technically possible to land the sought-after 10K bonus prize from it. The Grand would also be a very welcome sight. Beyond that adjustment, it’s largely the usual formula. The core feature in Thor 10K Ways is a very standard hold & win round built around landing Hammers, and, well, that’s basically the whole idea. No extra twists, no unusual mechanics; you either land prize symbols or you don’t.

As mentioned, there’s nothing fundamentally flawed with how Thor 10K Ways is put together, but there’s also nothing especially memorable about it. It’s attractive and plays fine, yet it ultimately feels like it needed something more. ReelPlay has shown it can deliver inventive bonus concepts—Money Mariachi Infinity Reels is a strong example of that. With that in mind, Thor 10K Ways comes across as a bigger missed chance: a good slot, but not a great one.
