Fire Strike (Pragmatic Play): Overview
Mix a couple of spoonfuls of lounge music with a dash of glitz and glamour, then finish it off with a generous sprinkle of lucky sevens. Pragmatic’s Fire Strike slot certainly carries the familiar vibe of a fruit machine, yet it still includes a few touches that help it stand out from many others in the same niche. Built on a 5×3, 10-payline reel layout, it leans more toward a hybrid style, and that expanded setup allows for notably bigger win potential than you might typically expect.
Available on all devices with stakes from 0.10 to €/$50 per spin, Fire Strike is a no-nonsense medium variance game with quick, rhythmic spins. There are no free spins to chase in this one. Instead, the main goal is to land as many Firestrike symbols as you can on the reels in a single spin, which is where the game’s biggest moments can happen.
Fire Strike isn’t the most graphically advanced slot out there, but its devilish style still has plenty of charm. With intense deep red tones dominating the screen, you’re dropped into the depths of hell, complete with lava pools, blazing fire, and laid-back lounge music in the background. The animated flames framing the reels are hard to miss, but the real spectacle kicks in when a big win lands—then the atmosphere truly turns up.
On the reels, you’ll find up to 12 standard symbols. These feature triple lucky sevens, single, double, and triple bars, dice, playing cards, casino tokens, bankrolls, and green diamonds. The three highest-paying symbols are the blue, purple, and red lucky sevens—landing 5 of a kind pays 30, 50, or 100 times your stake respectively. The Firestrike symbol marked with the word “wild” is the wild. It substitutes for all other symbols, appears stacked on all reels, and pays 200 times your stake for 5 across a full payline.
Fire Strike (Pragmatic Play): Features

Since it takes its cues from traditional fruit machines, there isn’t a long list of extras to cover. The focus is firmly on the Firestrike Bonus, which essentially revolves around landing as many Firestrike symbols as possible in a single spin. If you land 6 or more anywhere on the reels (they don’t have to line up on a payline), you’ll receive an instant cash prize as follows:
- 6 of a kind awards 1 times your stake.
- 7 of a kind awards 2 times your stake.
- 8 of a kind awards 8 times your stake.
- 9 of a kind awards 25 times your stake.
- 10 of a kind awards 50 times your stake.
- 11 of a kind awards 150 times your stake.
- 12 of a kind awards 500 times your stake.
- 13 of a kind awards 1,000 times your stake.
- 14 of a kind awards 2,500 times your stake.
- 15 of a kind (full screen) triggers the 25,000 times your stake Grand Jackpot.
Fire Strike (Pragmatic Play): Verdict
As shown above, Fire Strike is simple to pick up and feels very much in line with plenty of fruit slots that came before it. The key difference is the larger reel format and the huge upside, even though it’s worth keeping in mind that hitting the 25,000x jackpot is incredibly unlikely. On the subject of potential, Pragmatic Play still has something to prove regarding advertised max payouts. Previously, the studio promoted extremely high ceilings in titles like Da Vinci’s Treasure (48,000x) and Extra Juicy (60,000x), yet it has largely seemed like smoke and mirrors, as we still haven’t seen even 1/3 of those stated figures show up anywhere.
With medium variance, Fire Strike shouldn’t bludgeon your balance as fast as some of Pragmatic’s other releases, and we even ended up ahead during our two hour test session after landing a 500x win. That’s roughly where we suggest setting your expectations, although there’s always the possibility of scoring much bigger hits. All in all, Fire Strike is a solid fruit slot with a modern edge, but it’s not one we’re especially eager to return to if we end up getting burnt.
