Wolf Gold 4 Pack: Slot Overview
Editor’s note: This review is based on an early access version of the game. We may update the review after the full release if necessary.
Spend enough time at online casinos and you’ll almost certainly come across Pragmatic Play’s slot Wolf Gold. First launched in 2017, it’s one of those titles that lingers in the background—either because its ideas pop up in other games, because Pragmatic Play has revisited it in variants like Wolf Gold Ultimate, or simply because it has a certain charm. Whatever the explanation, Pragmatic Play has now expanded the series again with Wolf Gold 4 Pack, with the “4” pointing toward the quad matrix setup waiting ahead.
Wolf Gold is famous for its sunlit, rocky wilderness somewhere in northern America, and Wolf Gold 4 Pack keeps that same vibe. It’s the kind of landscape where the full moon hangs overhead, wolves call out, eagles glide, nature still feels untamed, and civilisation seems far away. That illusion does get interrupted a bit by the feature buy button, five jackpot tiers, and a spinning prize wheel on the screen. Put it all together and Wolf Gold 4 Pack comes across as straightforward gambling action, dressed up with a splash of wildlife atmosphere.

During the base game, everything runs on a single 5×3 reelset, with wins checked across 25 paylines. Bets range from 25c to $/€250 per spin, and the game is labelled highly volatile, with a top RTP of 96.51%.
Wolf Gold 4 Pack uses J-A card ranks alongside cougars, horses, eagles, and bison as its paying symbols. A royal 5 OAK returns 2 times the bet, while 5 OAKs of the picture symbols pay between 8 to 20 times the bet. The wolf acts as the wild, replacing any standard paying symbol. It appears on every reel and, when forming all-wolf combinations, it pays the same as the bison.
Wolf Gold 4 Pack: Slot Features

Looking at Wolf Gold 4 Pack’s feature set, there’s a bonus wheel, Moon symbols, Gold Moon symbols, instant prizes, a bonus round, a super bonus round, and a feature buy option.
Bonus Wheel
A bonus wheel sits spinning at the top of the display, and scatter symbols can land on the leftmost, middle, and rightmost reels. Landing 3 scatters activates the bonus wheel, which then spins to award either the bonus round, the super bonus round, or a cash prize: the 10x Mini, 25x Midi, 100x Minor, 500x Major, or the 5,000x Grand prize.
Moon and Gold Moon Symbols
When a Moon symbol appears, it arrives carrying a prize worth 1x to 5,000x the bet, while the Gold Moon lands with a value of 2x to 5,000x.
Bonus Round
The bonus round can be awarded via the bonus wheel or by landing at least 5 Moon symbols. It starts with 3 respins and runs across up to four 5×3 reelsets, where only blanks, Moon, or Gold Moon symbols can land. If the feature is triggered by Moon symbols, the triggering symbols begin on the top left matrix. All Moon symbols remain in place till the end of the round.
The top two reelsets start unlocked, and landing a Gold Moon symbol unlocks both bottom reelsets. Once the lower reelsets open, the respins counter resets back to 3. Landing a Moon symbol resets the respin counter for its specific reelset back to 3, while a Gold Moon resets all respin counters back to 3. The feature ends when no respins remain or when every unlocked reelset is filled with Moon or Gold Moon symbols, after which all visible values are paid out. If a reelset is filled completely, a 1,000x prize is awarded.
Super Bonus Round
Landing 6 Moon symbols or 5 Moon symbols plus at least 1 Gold Moon symbol triggers the super bonus round, and it can also be awarded from the bonus wheel. The mechanics are basically identical to the standard bonus round, except the super bonus is played on four 5×3 reelsets from the start.
Feature Buy
Instead of waiting for the bonus wheel to land the right outcome or for enough symbols to appear, players can purchase a single bonus wheel spin for 100x the bet.

Wolf Gold 4 Pack: Slot Verdict
If you’re already into Wolf Gold and you enjoy quad matrix mechanics, there’s a strong chance Wolf Gold 4 Pack will be right up your street. If you’re not part of that niche, enjoyment is far less certain. Visually, it leans into a slightly dated, faux-land-based style that tends to be a love-it-or-hate-it thing, and it doesn’t feel dramatically updated from the original release. That said, the connection to the earlier game is likely one of the biggest draws for returning fans. And much like the presentation, the feature set will also be a matter of personal taste.
For better or worse, the free spins segment from Wolf Gold hasn’t been included here, meaning the oversized symbols and the x3 multiplier are missing. As a result, the bonus wheel and the two hold ‘n win rounds are the main routes to larger payouts. The bonus wheel is, well, a wheel—there’s nothing wildly inventive about it, and the bonus and super bonus rounds aren’t especially unusual either. Any extra special symbols (Collect, Plus Cash, Multiplier), aka Wolf Gold Ultimate‘s fourth grid, have been left out, so the core experience is mostly watching Money symbols land and lock in place. Gold Moon symbols open up additional matrices for even more of that stick-and-stay gameplay, but unlike The Dog House Multihold, Wolf Gold 4 Pack’s feature doesn’t create much meaningful interplay between the grids to boost the suspense.
Completing a matrix with Moon/Gold Moon symbols would feel great thanks to the 1,000x award, and the overall win cap sits at a solid 5,100x the bet. Still, unless you’re deeply invested in all things Wolf Gold or you feel the need to test every quad grid slot that comes out, Wolf Gold 4 Pack may not offer enough to keep your attention for long.
