Wheel of Happiness: Slot Overview
Software provider Pragmatic Play is well acquainted with the Asian-themed corner of the slots market, having already put out plenty of titles in this style. Even though games like Chests of Cai Shen, Triple Pot Gold, or Greedy Fortune Pig are easy enough to name, few feel truly unforgettable. Perhaps Starlight Princess or 5 Lions Megaways fit that bill? Either way, Pragmatic Play is back with another digital trip to Asia in Wheel of Happiness, a classic—some would say generic—slot that represents the genre more than it elevates it.
It’s difficult to get especially excited about how Wheel of Happiness looks. Nothing on the screen is unpleasant, but nothing really stands out as impressive either. The rotating backdrop is nice, the animal icons are nice, and the overall presentation is… nice. At the same time, it’s fairly plain, as Pragmatic Play has followed the usual template when designing Wheel of Happiness. If this theme is exactly what you’re after, it should do the job of looking appealing enough. If it isn’t, it’s the sort of game you’ll quickly pass over while searching for something that clicks.

Wheel of Happiness runs on a 243 ways-to-win format over a 5×3 grid, and includes a tumble mechanic where winning symbols disappear and are replaced as new ones fall into view. Cascades keep going for as long as additional wins keep landing. Bets start at $/€0.20 up to $/€240, and there’s an optional ante bet that increases the stake by 50% for better chances of activating random awards. The slot is labelled highly volatile and offers a top RTP of 96.47%, with two lower RTP versions also available.
There are ten symbols on the reels, featuring 9-A royals alongside fish, turtles, lions, and dragons—familiar staples of Asian slot design. A 5-of-a-kind royal win pays 1x to 2x the stake, while the themed symbols can return up to 3x to 5x the stake. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4 during the base game, and also on the far-right reel in free spins and random awards. Wilds replace any symbol apart from the scatter.
Wheel of Happiness: Slot Features

Happiness is boosted here through a set of random awards, a free spins round, and a feature buy option.
Random Awards
Landing 3 scatters in the base game awards a random prize from the wheel:
- Wild Wins – Once tumbles finish, the grid is wiped, then 2 to 7 wilds are placed into the next outcome, ensuring at least one win.
- Wild Wins+ – Works like Wild Wins, but a randomly chosen x2 to x10 multiplier is also applied to following wins.
- Free Spins – Players receive 6 to 25 free spins.
- Free Spins+ – Players receive 6 to 25 free spins, plus a randomly selected x2 to x10 multiplier that applies to every win in the upcoming round.
Free Spins
Free spins function much like the base game, meaning 3 scatters can award Wild Wins, Wild Wins+, Free Spins, or Free Spins+ (with the multiplier for subsequent wins ranging from x2 to x5). If a free spins multiplier is already active, the wild multiplier and the free spins multiplier multiply each other before being applied to the win. If the round already includes a free spins multiplier and Free Spins+ is triggered, a new multiplier is added to the existing one for subsequent wins. Free Spins and Free Spins+ award 3 to 20 extra free spins.
Feature Buy
Rather than waiting for scatters to appear and start the bonus, players can purchase entry directly. Doing so costs 70x the bet.

Wheel of Happiness: Slot Verdict
Not every slot is destined to be a landmark release that rattles the industry. Sometimes you need a bit of straightforward filler, and Wheel of Happiness feels like it lands in that category. Just as it was hard to feel strongly positive about the visuals, it was similarly difficult—perhaps even more so—to finish Wheel of Happiness feeling fully impressed. It’s nowhere near the most exciting or inventive Asian slot out there, yet it still provides a solid, if cautious, experience. On the plus side, the theme delivers exactly what you’d expect, and while the gameplay isn’t standout, it can still produce a bit of happiness.
Not life-changing happiness, given the win potential tops out at 4,000x the stake, but the features it does include pair neatly with the ways-to-win structure. Scatters are the key to everything, activating those random awards in both the base game and the bonus. The presence of standard and plus versions adds a touch more anticipation, and since the plus outcomes include multipliers, those are clearly the ones you want. Multipliers can stack in free spins, which helps, so there is at least some technical room for a satisfying win or two.
Still, that’s true of plenty of slots, and overall Wheel of Happiness isn’t an easy game to get genuinely excited about. Dedicated Asian slot fans may be content to dip in and see what it offers, but because Wheel of Happiness stays firmly within safe, familiar limits, it’s also easy to overlook unless you’re particularly into this style.
