Tivoli: Slot Overview
Step into a fairy-tale haze of intrigue when you load up Tivoli, a Blueprint Gaming slot inspired by the iconic Danish pleasure garden. Founded in 1843, Tivoli Gardens ranks among the world’s oldest amusement parks, with only Dyrehavsbakken—situated further up the road in Klampenborg—being older. Tivoli is the better-known of the two thanks to its central Copenhagen setting, and because Dyrehavsbakken is a bit less friendly to English-speaking mouths than its slightly younger counterpart. Tivoli Gardens is packed with rides, arcades, gardens, and plenty more. Blueprint Gaming aims to bottle that sense of fun in slot form, using gameplay and features lifted directly from Reel Time Gaming’s cult favourite Fishin’ Frenzy.
It’s difficult not to let out a little gasp when Tivoli bursts into life on the screen. Maybe not a full-on jaw-drop, but Tivoli is undeniably a charming-looking game. The style nods toward Art Deco, yet it also feels like something more distinctive—almost Belle Epoch with a crisp Danish edge. It’s a handsome presentation, and the upbeat music encourages you to ditch modern cynicism as you wander through the gates to see what this enchanted garden has in store. It can feel like slipping back a few decades to revisit a more carefree time. Of course, reality returns after a handful of spins, but for those first brief moments, Tivoli the slot does a fine job of whisking you to an era when wonder still seemed everywhere.
The amusement park setting plays smoothly on any device, with stakes available from 10 p/c up to a possible $/€500 per spin at the top end. Tivoli delivers a medium volatile ride, so it’s typically not a wild, white-knuckle experience. Think more along the lines of a classic wooden coaster—less terrifying, but still capable of delivering the occasional thrill. And because Tivoli is effectively a Fishin’ Frenzy copy, it carries the same RTP of 96.12%.
To win, you need three or more matching symbols landing adjacent from the first reel onward. The only exception is the highest premium symbol, which pays with just two. Blueprint Gaming has also done well translating the theme into the symbol set. You’ll see neatly styled 10-A card ranks, then ticket symbols, plus a selection of park attractions. These include the Himmelskibet, Ballongyngen, Rutschebanen, and Radiobilerne. Five-of-a-kind results are rewarding too, paying 50 to 200 times the stake for the amusement-ride premium symbols.
Tivoli: Slot Features
The Tivoli entrance icon acts as the scatter and can land on any reel. Hit 3, 4, or 5 of them and you’ll receive 10, 15, or 20 free spins respectively. While free spins are running, the Ticket Collector scatter symbol is enabled. By itself, 2, 3, 4, or 5 Ticket Collectors award 1x, 10x, 50x, or 500x the stake.
Each time the Ticket Collector appears during a spin, he gathers the values shown on every ticket symbol currently visible. On their own, ticket symbols can carry prizes of 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, or 50x the bet. Free spins can’t be retriggered, so once the counter reaches zero, the bonus ends.
Tivoli: Slot Verdict
Tivoli is a genuinely interesting slot. Blueprint Gaming manages to channel a healthy portion of Tivoli’s charm through pop-up book-style visuals that are truly engaging. The music is equally evocative, and touches like the fireworks animations are used effectively. Together, it creates a lighthearted presentation—some may call it a bit childlike—wrapped in a carnival vibe that echoes the golden-age atmosphere the real park is known for. It’s designed as a place to tune out the outside world and get swept up in small discoveries. For a while, it’s easy to give in and be drawn into Tivoli the slot’s spell.
If Fishin’ Frenzy has never been your thing, though, that spell may fade quickly. The shallow gameplay soon becomes hard to ignore, turning the early daydream into a more general, glassy-eyed lull. Yes, it’s built from Fishin’ Frenzy, which was a success (particularly in the UK), but the original is showing its age. Tivoli’s excellent new visuals help extend the honeymoon period, yet once the novelty wears off, the slower tempo and limited feature set stand out.
That said, the add-ons are thematically sensible. In the same way a fisherman reels in fish, having a ticket collector scoop up tickets is a fitting twist on the mechanic. And just like in the original, it’s still exciting when the collector pulls in a stack of tickets during free spins. Don’t go in expecting enormous riches from Tivoli. Still, landing a few 50x tickets can build up a respectable total. What the game can truly deliver is difficult to pin down. The paytable lists a max cap of $250,000 or 50,000x (whichever comes first), but don’t expect the biggest win to come anywhere close to 50,000x (or even half that).
Blueprint Gaming has done an impressive job of reworking Fishin’ Frenzy into a fresh package aimed at Danish players. It’s not a high-octane slot, but the familiar gameplay pairs nicely with the dreamy garden theme to create a calm space to test your luck.
