Tippy Tavern: Slot Overview
Good day to you, players; this is a cheerful online slot from Games Global partner Snowborn, packed with coins, leprechauns, and plenty of Irish-themed mischief. The game is called Tippy Tavern, and it certainly has a lively sound to it. It’s also a direct clone of an earlier Snowborn release titled Pile ’em Up. If you’ve tried that one, you’ll recognise the coin symbol collection mechanic, free spins that lean further into coin gathering, and a hold & win-style round known as The Happy Hour Bonus. If you haven’t, consider stepping into the tavern to see what’s on tap.
Snowborn had been leaning heavily into cute themes for a while, with releases such as Cat Clans, Cats of the Caribbean, and Peaky Pigs. This time there are no animals, but a leprechaun takes centre stage; we assume he’s Tippy, though that’s not officially confirmed. The game also ticks the familiar leprechaun-slot boxes with beer, pipes, clovers, harps, and pots of gold. Visually, it has that classic Snowborn friendly simplicity—clean, easy to look at, and arranged with a bright, upbeat feel. It’s a solid, if slightly predictable, opening impression.

After taking a close look through the numbers, we couldn’t spot anything that breaks away from the template set by Pile ’em Up. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the top RTP sits at 96.22% (with lower settings also possible), and the maths will appeal to players who prefer a highly volatile ride. Since some of Tippy Tavern’s features are saved at the current bet level, it’s worth spending a moment choosing your stake carefully, with options running from 20 p/c to $/€30 per spin.
Tippy Tavern runs on a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 20 paylines. Standard wins pay for three to five-of-a-kind combinations. The four lower symbols are purple, blue, green, and red bottle caps marked J, Q, K, and A, paying 1-3.75x the bet for five on a line. Above them are classic themed icons—a pipe, four-leaf clover, harp, and dice—worth 12 to 20 times the stake for five-of-a-kind. Wilds appear in both the base game and free spins. They can land on all five reels, substituting for any paying symbol or forming their own wins up to 111x the bet for five wilds on a line.
Tippy Tavern: Slot Features

Tippy Tavern serves up a few “happy hours” in feature form: Coin Symbols & Collect, Coin Booster, Free Spins, and the dedicated Happy Hour Bonus round.
Coin Symbols & Collect
Coin symbols can land with values ranging from 0.2 to 50 times the bet. When coin symbols appear at the same time as a collect symbol on reel five, their combined values are paid out.
Coin Booster
The Coin Booster is a multiplier that begins at x1. Each time a 1UP frothing beer mug symbol lands, it raises the Coin Booster up to a maximum of x10. When coin symbols are collected, as described above, the Coin Booster is applied to the total coin value before the payout is awarded. Once the coins have paid, the Coin Booster returns to x1. The Coin Booster multiplier is saved per bet level and is active across all parts of the game.
Free Spins
The scatter symbol shows up on reels 1, 3, and 5. Hitting all 3 triggers 9 free spins, and the current Coin Booster multiplier carries over. During the feature, landing 2 or 3 scatters awards +3 or +9 extra free spins. Any coins that land are collected in the Respins Pot, and when the feature ends, players get a chance to win the total Pot value multiplied by the Coin Booster.
Happy Hour Bonus
Collecting a bonus symbol on each reel across multiple spins activates the Happy Hour Bonus, with the current Coin Booster carried into the feature. Bonus symbol collection is also saved at the bet level. The round starts with 3 initial spins, which reset whenever a symbol lands. Coins remain stuck on the reels until the feature finishes, though 1UP symbols do not stick. When the spins run out, the total value of the sticky coins is multiplied by the Coin Booster and paid. If all positions are filled, the feature ends, and every coin turns into a 50x coin. The total is then multiplied by the Coin Booster and awarded.

Tippy Tavern: Slot Verdict
Is it clone season or what? At the time Tippy Tavern was reviewed, it seemed like every other title was a copy, clone, or reskin. Tippy Tavern is among the most faithful examples, since nearly everything from its predecessor Pile ’em Up has been carried over, aside from the audio and visuals. That doesn’t make it unpleasant to play, but it would have been welcome if Snowborn had added something new to freshen things up, create a bit more intrigue for a second outing, and so on.
Still, what’s included works well, and there’s a fair amount happening. Rather than relying only on straightforward coin collection, the ability to build a Coin Booster Multiplier adds an extra layer and can potentially improve returns along the way. The Happy Hour Bonus benefits from the Coin Booster too, helping it scale further. Neither this game nor the previous one is a major innovator, but they’re enjoyable, with a top win potential of 7,500x the bet. They’re not all-time classics, yet they have a light, warm tone that’s easy to enjoy. Tippy Tavern may be the more broadly appealing option thanks to its theme.
Overall, Tippy Tavern was just as entertaining as Pile ’em Up, which makes sense given it’s essentially a straight reskin. That said, if leprechauns are a particular favourite—and considering how many leprechaun slots exist, plenty of players must feel that way—then Tippy Tavern could edge Pile ’em Up on pure enjoyment.
