If the bonus round includes only the purple modifier or only the green modifier, it awards 5 free spins. Has Pragmatic Play been spending time on Power Combo slots from studios like All For One Studios? After reviewing Tiny Toads, it certainly felt that way. There’s plenty of overlap: 3 differently coloured trigger symbols, free spins that can start with various modifier combinations, nudging wilds, and fixed jackpots awarded by collecting the right letters. It’s extremely close. So close, in fact, that it came across as if Pragmatic Play either played so much Power Combo it seeped into the subconscious, or they outright copied a rival, or perhaps one or more ex-All For One employees brought the concepts across. Or it could be something else entirely that our speculation hasn’t uncovered.

Not to be that person, but Tiny Toads didn’t come across like a standard Pragmatic Play release. It felt a bit lightweight and somewhat budget in presentation, which made the whole thing feel unusual. More importantly, the local jackpots will be an instant turn-off for some players. Because they’re fixed, the 3,500x Grand is essentially one of the biggest adrenaline moments Tiny Toads can offer. Landing the Grand isn’t far off the slot’s 4,000x the bet max win, which is a touch low for a Pragmatic Play title.

Overall, the fun factor also landed a bit below what you’d expect from Pragmatic Play. The experience largely became a case of watching for Fireflies to try to trigger red modifier free spins, then focusing on letter collection in hopes of snagging a jackpot. Some players may love this buzzy, buggy setup, but it didn’t feel like Pragmatic Play at their best.
