Tiger’s Glory (Quickspin): Introduction
Anyone who used to poke fun at Quickspin for its reputation of low variance has been quieted down, or at least forced to come up with new jokes aimed at the Swedes. Over the last couple of years, the iGaming scene has changed dramatically, leaving some long-standing giants standing on the platform confused as the train vanishes into the distance. Luckily for Quickspin, they appear to have boarded just in time.
Still, building an online slot that lasts longer than a fortnight isn’t simply about offering a huge maximum win. It takes more than flashing multi-mega-ways and “win up to xx,xxxx” bait in front of players. Clearly, some studios are still trying to find the right balance and need more refinement to truly nail the formula of entertaining ultra high variance games—titles that can captivate players while draining bankrolls, which, in high variance territory, is simply part of the deal.
Expecting Quickspin to retreat to familiar ground, it was refreshing to find a game that not only sticks to their newer direction but pushes it further. Since most Quickspin slots are fairly restricted when it comes to pay lines, the 4096 bet ways here feels like a welcome change.
The reel layout is substantial as well, spanning 6 reels with 4 rows, set in front of an illustration of the imposing Colosseum with two Roman pillars framing the action. It’s unquestionably an attractive game, though not quite among the studio’s very best visually. The Tiger overpowering the Gladiator in the Tiger Battle feature, for instance, comes off more humorous than grand as it was probably meant to be, and the music choice feels slightly off—more fitting for a WWII film. These are small nitpicks, though. On the plus side, the deep red scatter shield symbol really pops and is nicely attention-grabbing, and the gameplay runs smoothly without issues.
Tiger’s Glory (Quickspin): Overview
The reel symbols consist of the usual 9, 10, J, Q, K and A low-value icons, plus 5 premiums shown as four different Gladiators and a Tiger. The Tiger is the top payer, awarding 10 times the stake for 6 across a pay line. It also becomes a key piece of the free spins feature, as you’ll soon see. The regular wild symbol appears only in the base game and shows up infrequently, likely to avoid boosting the hit rate too much.
Symbols land in stacks of 2, but when combined with other symbols they can create full premium stacks on the reels. The main game’s top-end potential isn’t spectacular, though it can still deliver wins of 200 times the stake or more. As expected for a high variance slot, most of the real firepower is packed into the free spins feature.
Quickspin has also made things player-friendly by showing symbol values as actual cash amounts, updating instantly as you change your bet. As for staking, Tiger’s Glory allows wagers from €0.40 to €100, so it may not suit some low-rollers who prefer €0.10-0.20 spins.
Tiger’s Glory (Quickspin): Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols awards 7, 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. Once triggered, players gain access to an extra symbol called the Enraged Tiger symbol, marked with a red frame to set it apart from the regular Tiger. When it appears, a sequence reminiscent of mechanics seen in Yggdrasil’s Viking’s slots plays out. If the Tiger wins against the Gladiator, it becomes a sticky wild for the rest of the bonus. In addition, Tiger symbols don’t have to land on consecutive reels to create winning combinations.
Above each reel sits a +1 extra spin icon. Whenever the Enraged Tiger symbol wins its battle, you receive one extra free spin, meaning the bonus can be re-triggered up to a total of 6 free spins.
This free spins round carries enormous upside. Quickspin promotes a maximum win of 12,000 times the stake, though during testing and certification it has reportedly produced wins exceeding 13,800 times the stake.
Tiger’s Glory (Quickspin): Verdict
We’ll admit it: we have a soft spot for sticky wilds, and paired with the win-all-ways (4096 bet ways) format, it’s hard not to be impressed. It really feels like Quickspin is becoming increasingly at ease with its new identity, and Tiger’s Glory shows the studio is beginning to genuinely master the high variance craft.
Sure, the high variance may put off some newcomers—because, realistically, plenty of players have to lose for someone else to land a 5000-10,000x win—but Quickspin has delivered a slot that feels surprisingly balanced and fun, even with relatively few base-game features.
We haven’t exactly been flooded with screenshots of truly gigantic wins from Quickspin slots so far, but if those start appearing, this studio could be unstoppable. The buzz is only a 10,000x win away.
