Super Flip Deluxe: Slot Overview
Love them or hate them, classic slots are a genre that simply won’t go away. They’ve existed for ages and continue to roll on, despite—or perhaps because of—all the technical, mechanical, and thematic evolution players have seen over the years. Software provider Play’n GO has always had a soft spot for retro-style releases, having produced plenty of them, including a 2015 title called Super Flip. For reasons known only to the studio, it has now gone back to that earlier game and repackaged it as Super Flip Deluxe, a slot that repeats much of the original gameplay while tacking on a set of four instant prizes.
Super Flip Deluxe is the kind of throwback slot built for a specific audience and doesn’t really try to win over everyone else. The reels are filled with traditional icons, there’s lots of glossy metallic edging, the backdrop is fairly flat, the soundtrack leans funky, and four instant prizes sit across the top of the grid. It’s the sort of game you can judge at a glance—either it’s your thing or it isn’t. If you’re open to change, the refreshed look may feel like a pleasant update, even though much of the underlying mechanics and added elements are largely unchanged.

For starters, Play’n GO hasn’t “deluxed” the core playfield, which is still a 5×4 matrix with 20 paylines paying for 3 to 5 OAK. Volatility sits in the low to medium bracket, and the best of the five RTP settings comes in at 96.2%. There’s no option to adjust coin count or line count here, so the only decision is your total bet, with stakes ranging from 10 c to $/€100.
The Super Flip Deluxe paytable starts with diamond, club, heart, and spade low pays, followed by strawberries, clovers, horseshoes, stars, and the diamond gemstone as the higher-paying symbols. A five-of-a-kind line of low symbols returns 1 times the bet. Hitting five premium symbols pays 2 to 12.5 times the stake. Wilds can land anywhere and replace all symbols except scatters. If wilds create their own winning combinations, they pay the same as the high-pay diamond.
Super Flip Deluxe: Slot Features

Alongside the respin mechanic and the free spins bonus, Super Flip Deluxe also introduces a fresh instant prize system, offering another small route to potentially pick up extra coins.
Instant Prizes
Any symbol may appear overlaid with a token, and this token overlay gives you a shot at an instant prize. The available instant prizes are the 10x Mini, 50x Minor, 100x Major, and the 1,000x Grand.
Smart Respin
During the base game or the bonus round, if you land a full stack of identical symbols (wilds included) on the two leftmost reels, but no wins are formed, a Smart Respin is triggered. The respin triggers sequentially across the three rightmost reels, and it only affects reels that don’t contain symbols contributing to wins. Free spins can be triggered via Smart Respins, though token overlays will not show up.
Free Spins
Hitting 3, 4, or 5 scatters anywhere on the reels awards 15 free spins, along with a 2.5x, 5x, or 10x payout, respectively. In this mode, the reels are flipped, meaning the reel order is reversed. Based on the paytable image, this should be beneficial because diamonds tend to land more on the right in the base game, so flipping should shift them left during free spins—at least in theory. Players can reach up to 175 free spins by landing 3+ scatters and retriggering 15 free spins each time.

Super Flip Deluxe: Slot Verdict
Play’n GO has been in the industry long enough to understand the gambling world inside and out, no question—but why it decided now was the moment to revisit a decade-old slot like Super Flip is hard to say. The studio has explored these concepts elsewhere. Invading Vegas used Lock on Respins, and Joker Flip reversed the reels when free spins began (as did Invading Vegas Las Christmas), so these ideas have been circulating in the PnG catalogue for some time. Super Flip Deluxe brings them back, yet it’s difficult not to wonder how many players would truly have been devastated if Super Flip Deluxe had never been released.
Still, it exists—and to mark the return, or perhaps to help explain it, Play’n GO has given Super Flip Deluxe a new instant prize feature that the original didn’t have. It’s not a game-changing addition, nor does it feel especially “deluxe.” You land token overlays and might collect up to 1,000x via the Grand prize. That’s also not far from Super Flip Deluxe’s maximum win of 1,200x. It’s not a huge ceiling, and in today’s market it’s certainly less attention-grabbing than the original’s 1 million coin top prize, whatever that translated to in bet-multiple terms.
By the end, the lasting impression was underwhelming. Players who enjoy old-school, retro-leaning slots may still get a bit of fun from it, but Play’n GO has followed up a 10-year-old game with a release that feels roughly 10 years behind the curve.
