Piggy Heist: Slot Overview
Poor piggies don’t always get the kindest portrayal in slots, often shown stuffing themselves with riches or getting up to something unpleasant. With Play’n GO’s online slot Piggy Heist, though, the pigs are—true to the name—pulling off a robbery. It’s a bank-heist themed game featuring coin collecting, a Hold’n Spin bonus, and a wild upgrade mechanic that can dish out loot and excitement for anyone lucky enough to crack the safe. It also waves around a big max win to draw eyes, although anyone hunting for brand-new ideas won’t love that it’s essentially a reskin of Crabby’s Gold.
Rather than feeling like a traditional bank, Piggy Heist comes across more like a nuclear launch facility, though the safe and vault door flanking the grid add a bit of context. Even so, it doesn’t feel as packed with theme as the original, which leaned into a classic pirate style. There’s some quirky charm and piggy attitude here, but the makeover doesn’t seem especially deep—likely because it’s a clone and the studio didn’t pour full creative energy into reinventing it.

Symbols drop into a 6×4 play area, with payouts calculated using a 4,096 ways to win mechanic. On paper, the win potential looks strong, though the math model volatility is around medium, scored 6 out of 10. Bets range from $/€0.10 to $/€100 per spin, and it’s worth noting that Vault Wild progress is tied to the stake size.
The paytable includes J-A low symbols alongside five character icons for the higher prizes. Hitting 6 OAK combinations returns 1x the bet with royals, or 2x to 5x the bet with character symbols. Wilds substitute for any regular paying symbol to help complete wins, and once unlocked, the game can produce a wide variety of wild types. Wilds can appear on every reel except the leftmost.
Piggy Heist: Slot Features

Piggy Heist’s feature set is the same as Crabby’s Golds, including Coin Collection, Hold’n Spin, Vault Gamble, and Vault Wilds.
Coin Collection
Coin Pouch symbols may land on the leftmost and rightmost reels and collect Coin symbols. When two Coin Pouches appear, they gather the Coins twice. Coin values range from 0.5x to 25x the bet, and if Coin Pouches don’t pick them up, they are collected by the Safe. Each time a Coin is collected, it can randomly trigger the Hold’n Spin feature, and the safe’s size doesn’t reflect the prize amount.
Hold’n Spin
In this mode, Coin symbols land face-down and remain locked on the reels. Once the feature finishes, they flip to reveal a value of 1x to 30x. You start with 3 spins, and the counter resets whenever at least one new Coin symbol lands—up to 30 respins.
Vault Gamble
After Hold’n Spin ends, players may gamble winnings via the Vault Gamble. Over 1 spin, Double Coins and Police Badges can appear. If more Double Coins land, the Hold’n Win payout is doubled. If more Police Badges land, the Hold’n Spin winnings drop to 0. This gamble option is available up to 4 times.
Vault Wilds
Landing stethoscope symbols increases the Vault Meter, which opens up different wild types. Each set of 6 stethoscopes collected unlocks the next Vault Wild:
- Stage 1 – standard wild.
- Stage 2 – Multiplier Wild with values of x2 to x5.
- Stage 3 – Expanding Wilds and Multiplier Expanding Wilds with values of x1 to x5.
- Stage 4 – Expanding Chobby Wild and Multiplier Expanding Chobby Wild with values of x1 to x5 and 3 respins.
- Stage 5 – Expanding Walking Wilds, which move left with respins until off the reels or a maximum of 10 respins. Also unlocks Multiplier Expanding Walking Wilds that move left with respins until falling off or a maximum of 10 respins holding values of x1 to x5.
- Stage 6 – Mega 2×2 wild.
Only one type of wild can be shown at one time, and no more than two 2×2 wilds may land. When a Multiplier Wild appears, all other wilds take on the same multiplier. That multiplier is applied to the winning way.

Piggy Heist: Slot Verdict
Piggy Heist isn’t exactly a cutting-edge idea, largely because it’s a rework of Crabby’s Gold, and the visual theme doesn’t feel especially inspired. Pigs, vaults, and safe-cracking are familiar territory, and it can be tough to get too fired up about them. That doesn’t mean the theme can’t work, but when it’s paired with recycled maths and familiar gameplay, it’s easier to overlook. Still, the overall vibe is upbeat, which some players may enjoy, and plenty of people won’t have tried Crabby’s Gold—so Piggy Heist could come across as fresher, particularly if the idea of bank-robbing pigs sounds appealing.
Even so, the feature package doesn’t really scream “must-play.” Coin Collection is as straightforward as it gets: land collectors, land coins, take the payout. The Hold’n Spin is just as standard. There’s a bit of tension as the face-down coins reveal their values at the end, but those values are capped at 30x each. For players wanting a bigger rush, the Vault Gamble can be triggered after the bonus, and since it’s essentially double-or-nothing, it can add real edge—assuming players are comfortable with the possibility of losing everything if it goes wrong. Oddly enough, Piggy Heist advertises a top payout of 70,000x the bet, which is as eye-catching as it is unlikely. Still, that’s the figure, and it may be enough to make some players overlook how generic the overall package can feel.
The Vault Wilds system may be the best hook, since the higher-tier wilds are genuinely appealing. That’s even more notable given the Vault Gamble is limited to 11,520x, meaning the base game can technically deliver much larger wins than the bonus. Is that splitting hairs? Maybe, since Crabby’s Gold wasn’t exactly a genre-shaker in the first place, and Piggy Heist follows the same path.
