A short intro animation sets the scene, revealing a 5-reel, 15-payline setup positioned inside the cockpit of a jump ship tearing across the universe. It loosely echoes the classic PC title Wing Commander from Origin Systems, only with modern visuals. Beyond the static artwork, the animations are slick too, and when the bonus kicks in, Multiplier Odyssey nudges even closer to the border between slot and video game. It never crosses the line completely, though, so it still feels like a slot even when you’re deep into the bonus round.

You can take the mission off-planet on any device, with stakes ranging from 10 p/c to $/€20 per spin. While it carries a solid RTP value of 96.5%, Multiplier Odyssey is highly volatile and seems to funnel a large share of that return into the free spins feature. In the base game, Coin symbols can land on reels 1, 2, 3 or 4, each showing a multiplier of the bet. When a Collector Symbol appears on reel 5, it awards the value of any Coin Symbols currently on reels 1 to 4. If an x3 Collector lands on reel 5, the collected Coin Symbol total is tripled.

Free spins trigger when 3 or more scatter symbols land anywhere on the screen at the same time. During the feature, a life meter sits to the left of the reels and reduces by 1 after every non-winning spin. You begin with 7, 8, or 9 lives when the round is activated by 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols.

Positioned above the reels are 11 multipliers displayed as spaceships. Each time you land a win, the next multiplier in the sequence has its value applied to the payout and is then removed, meaning the following multiplier becomes active for upcoming wins. Once the first 10 multipliers have been used up, the Super Multiplier switches on. If you make it to this last phase, lives don’t count. Instead, you receive a limitless number of spins that continue until a win hits; then the Super Multiplier is applied and the feature ends. Based on your region, you may also have access to a bonus buy option. Where available, paying 70x the bet ensures at least three bonus symbols land on the next spin.

Multiplier Odyssey: Slot Verdict

Given the Award, comparisons are difficult to dodge, and there’s definitely a noticeable Money Train 2 feel here. For starters, the focus is again firmly on the bonus game, which is where Multiplier Odyssey really gets to take off. As with MT2, reaching it can be a massive task, and pushing through the base game demands plenty of time and resilience. The Coin Collection feature is there to take the edge off, but it shows up so infrequently that it often barely affects the overall result. If you do manage to trigger free spins, or choose to buy them, the experience changes completely.

Even then, getting into free spins doesn’t guarantee you’ll uncover the galaxy’s treasures. The bonus can be wildly inconsistent too, swinging from poor to excellent. What it rarely is, however, is dull regardless of the outcome. Racing through the ship multipliers can become seriously tense, particularly as you climb higher. Reaching the final Super Multiplier is where a major score becomes a real possibility, up to 50,000 times the stake. Since Relax Gaming’s stated max win has already been shown to be attainable in Money Train 2, it’s reasonable to expect Multiplier Odyssey to generate some standout social media moments as well.

All told, Multiplier Odyssey is another sharp-looking, high-octane release from Relax Gaming. Its unforgiving, no-mercy approach paired with straightforward potential and an intensely dramatic bonus round is the kind of package that will either irritate or thrill—but it’s not something you can simply overlook.
