Money Track 2: Slot Overview

Make room on the tracks: a hulking locomotive with a metal skull rolls into a futuristic, steampunk-leaning setting, bringing a massive hold & win-style experience with it. No, it isn’t Money Train 4 yet, but Money Track 2 from Stakelogic. And yes—like you, we noticed a couple of familiar touches straight away, and it’s hard to believe that’s accidental. Money Track 2 isn’t an exact match, but the end result feels so uncanny that we were laughing almost immediately.

The train sitting front and centre sets the mood, because it looks extremely—did we say extremely?—close to the nightmare engine seen in Money Train 3. The title is another joke in itself: just like when Relax Gaming launched Money Cart 2, there’s no Money Track part 1—at least not yet (sources say one is being worked on). It honestly felt like the folks at Stakelogic had a great time putting Money Track 2 together. Either they deliberately tried to wind up Relax Gaming, or someone higher up nudged the team to ride the Money Train wave, or—least believable of all—they built Money Track 2 with zero awareness of how similar it is to another slot. Yeah… we’re not buying that one either.

If you’re going to challenge the “Train” theme, you need to think big—and Stakelogic certainly did with Money Track 2. To begin with, it’s a highly volatile slot with huge upside, built around a hold & win bonus round. Gameplay runs on a 5×4 grid, framed by assorted UI controls, the bonus buy, and several collection meters. Players choose a stake of 40 p/c to $/€80 per spin and can opt in (or not) to one of four bonus buy options. However you play Money Track 2, the default RTP is 96%.

Across the 40 paylines, Money Track 2 pays when matching symbols land left to right, starting from the first reel. The paytable features futuristic metallic 10-A card ranks as low symbols, plus 4 sci-fi characters as the premiums. A 5-of-a-kind win returns 1.25 to 2.5 times the bet with royals, or 5 to 12.5 times the bet with the high symbols. The sheriff badge acts as Money Track 2’s wild, substituting for all paying symbols. Wilds can appear on every reel, and a line of 5 wilds pays 12.5 times the bet.

Money Track 2: Slot Features

During base play, keep an eye out for the Train Heist feature while you spin, before the Cash Bonus feature lands—or gets purchased.

Train Heist Feature

Every Train symbol that appears in the base game adds a +1 multiplier to the collection meter above its corresponding meter. If no Train symbols land, the collection above the reels is reset. When the Train Heist symbol hits, it collects all multipliers from above the reels and pays the combined total multiplied by the total bet. After the payout, the multipliers are cleared back to blank.

Cash Bonus

Train symbols can land on any reel and carry multiplier values that are only awarded during the Cash Bonus feature. The Cash Bonus triggers when 6 or more Train symbols land. It begins on level 1 with the first Cash Bonus Enhancer unlocked. Each Train symbol that lands in the base game progresses the next locked Cash Bonus Enhancer by 1 step, contributing toward unlocking it.

  • 1st Enhancer – reveals a multiplier value of 2x to 30x.
  • 2nd Enhancer – reveals a multiplier value of 2x to 50x. Adds the multiplier value to all other multipliers on the reels.
  • 3rd Enhancer – reveals a multiplier value of 2x to 80x. Doubles the multipliers on the reels.
  • 4th Enhancer – reveals a multiplier of x2 to 100x. Collects the values of other symbols on the reels.

You get 3 spins in the Cash Bonus feature. When Train Symbols or Bonus Enhancers land, they drop to the lowest space on their reels, then lock in place. Filling a row of 5 symbols along the bottom row awards the total value of the multipliers and reset the spin count to 3. The paid symbols are removed from the bottom row, and any remaining symbols on screen can fall into the lowest available positions. If 2 rows are completed on the same spin, the next Enhancer is unlocked.

Buy Feature

There are four bonus buy choices: Cash Bonus with 2 Enhancers for 75x the bet, Cash Bonus with 3 Enhancers for 125x the bet, Cash Bonus with 4 Enhancers for 200x the bet, or a random option priced at 115x the bet.

Money Track 2: Slot Verdict

Not too long ago, Stakelogic went through a strange phase of releasing titles that looked uncomfortably close to what rivals were doing. Mayan Rush, for instance, drew comparisons to Yggdrasil Gaming’s classic Valley of the Gods. The moment Money Track 2 pulled into the station, it was obvious that the only way it won’t remind players of Relax Gaming’s blockbuster Money Train 3 is if they simply haven’t played that game. The visuals, the atmosphere, even the name—everything feels startlingly alike. Look beyond the surface, though, and the mechanics are undeniably quite different. Still, it’s hard not to pause and take in the sheer nerve Stakelogic has shown by echoing one of the biggest slots around.

As noted earlier and explained in the features section, Money Track 2 and the Money Train series split sharply when it comes to gameplay. Money Track 2 uses the Train Heist feature to liven up the base game, and it’s supported by collecting Train Heist symbols to help unleash stronger Enhancers when free spins trigger. It gives you plenty to do, but the Cash Bonus is where the most exciting moments should happen. It’s another hold & win format, but it doesn’t play like any of the Money Cart bonus rounds. In fact, it stands apart from most hold & win games in general, so it’s worth trying if this style is your thing. It may not look quite as brutally explosive as some competitors, but Money Track 2 still offers a top prize of 50,000 times the bet.

It might not be the biggest headline number ever seen in a train-themed slot, but Money Track 2 holds its own for win potential. The stats are strong, and the feature design is original enough to make Money Track 2 appealing to players who enjoy big, chugging hold & wins. That’s what makes it so odd that, rather than giving it a more distinctive identity, Stakelogic chose to tie Money Track 2 so closely to the Money Train franchise’s image. In the end, the most lasting impression is how strangely it tries to be its own game while also being something else.
