Money Stacks Megaways: Slot Overview
As of writing, Elon Musk was sitting at the top of the global rich list with a fortune north of $300 billion. Ehd.org notes that stacking 100 billion $1 bills would create a pile 10,921.97 km tall—roughly 28 times higher than the International Space Station. Multiply that by a little over three and you’re in the ballpark of Elon’s net worth as a physical tower of cash. That’s a serious stack, and it sets the tone for today’s slot. Built by Pragmatic Play, Money Stacks Megaways is the follow-up to Money Stacks, bringing back the Cash Collect mechanic, free spins with random wild multipliers, and Money Spins, now delivered on a Megaways reel setup.
The Megaways layout uses 6 main vertical reels plus a 4-position reel above them, creating up to 117,649 ways to win. The action takes place in a semi-futuristic room that feels a bit Tron-like and a bit party-like—very similar to the setting in Money Stacks. Like before, three prize values sit beside the reels, although the amounts have been lowered, which feels unusual; despite that, the total potential is twice what it was in the earlier game.

Money Stacks Megaways supports stakes from 20 c to $/€240 per spin in the base game and includes an optional ante bet. Activating the ante bet doubles the wager and triples the chance of landing free spins naturally. This is a highly volatile slot, with a top theoretical RTP of 96.5%.
In the symbol lineup, Money Stacks Megaways includes 9-10 card ranks, lemons, cherries, grapes, watermelons, and 7s. Six-of-a-kind wins pay 0.4x to 0.8x for the royals or 1x to 10x for the premium symbols. Wilds can appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 and substitute for any standard paying symbol. When a win lands, the tumble feature clears the winning symbols and drops new ones into place, continuing until no further wins occur.
Money Stacks Megaways: Slot Features

In the base game, the Money Collect mechanic is the main thing to watch for, and there are also two bonus rounds that can be activated: free spins with random wild multipliers and Money Spins.
Money Collect
When Money symbols land, they carry values of 0.5x to 20x the bet, or they can show the 25x Minor, the 100x Major, or the 1,000x Grand prize. Collect, and Super Collect symbols can appear on the far-left and far-right reels. If at least one Collect or Super Collect is visible at the same time as Money symbols, then the values of every Money symbol are awarded.
When a Super Collect lands, it first adds a random amount of Money symbols into positions on reels that already contain at least one Money symbol. After that, all Money symbol values currently on screen are paid out. If 2 Collect or Super Collect symbols appear together with Money symbols, a random multiplier of x2 to x10 is applied to the total Money symbol value shown.
Bonus Trigger
Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters awards 2x, 5x, 10x, or 20x, respectively, and also starts free spins. In the base game, all Money symbols that land on a spin without Collect symbols or enough scatters to trigger free spins send a ray to a diamond on the screen. At random, when this occurs, a number of free spins from the available limit can be awarded. Once the bonus begins, players choose the free spins mode.
Free Spins with Random Wild Multipliers
When triggered by 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters, the feature awards 7, 10, 12, or 15 free spins. Before the round starts, players pick a fuse to reveal a boost for the round. The boost may be +1, +2, or +3 free spins, +1x, +2x, or +3x added to the general multiplier, or additional high-value pay symbols added to the reels for the entire feature.
Free spins start with an x1 multiplier (which can be raised by pre-feature boosts). Each tumble increases the multiplier by +1 until the feature ends, and all wins are multiplied by the current value. During the round, wild symbols can carry a multiplier of x2, x3, or x5. That multiplier applies to any win the wild helps create, and if multiple wilds contribute to the same win, their multipliers multiply together. Landing 2-6 scatters extends the feature by granting 2-6 extra free spins.
Money Spins
If this mode is triggered by 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters, then 2, 3, 5, or 7 Money Spins are awarded, respectively. Before play begins, players pick fuses which reveal boosts until ‘That’s the end’ is revealed. Boost options include +1 free spin, +1x added to the general multiplier that applies to all collections in the round, 2 guaranteed Collect symbols on each free spin, 2 guaranteed Super Collect symbols on each free spin, or More Megaways, which increases how many symbols can land on each reel. During the feature, only Money, Collect, Super Collect, and blank symbols can appear. At least one Collect or Super Collect is guaranteed to hit on every spin. If a general multiplier is activated via a fuse boost, it applies to all Money awards. This feature cannot be retrigged.
Feature Buy
The free spins feature can be purchased in the base game for 120x to trigger it with at least 3 scatters, 180x with at least 4 scatters, 240x with at least 5 scatters, or 300x with 6 scatters.

Money Stacks Megaways: Slot Verdict
Overall, it was decent. The Megaways conversion does what it’s supposed to do, turning Money Stacks Megaways into a larger-feeling game than Money Stacks. The expanded reel area is also supported by a few extra additions that weren’t present previously. One of the key changes is the boost selection at the start of both bonus features—one pick for the wild multiplier free spins, and potentially multiple picks in Money Spins. Boosts are a welcome touch whenever they show up, and the inclusion of general multipliers is another upgrade that Money Stacks didn’t offer. With the revised mechanics and added features, Money Stacks Megaways feels bigger and more complete than Money Stacks, while also creating a bit more separation from titles like Mask of Amun, Blazing Bison Gold Blitz, and Gold Blitz.
That said, the fundamentals can feel a little plain. One bonus is essentially a familiar Megaways-style rising win multiplier setup, and the other is a fairly typical Money symbol collection feature—both of which are already common across the market. Still, one standout moment was landing Money Spins with two guaranteed Super Collect symbols on every spin. With those in play, they can add extra cash onto the reels, and you also get the benefit of a multiplier applied to each collect during the feature. That part worked well. The max win is also respectable: at 10,000x it’s double what the previous game offered. The slot clearly tries to ramp up the excitement with energetic music and flashing visuals, while also widening the gameplay through the pick-style boosts—so even if Money Stacks Megaways is somewhat derivative at its core, it’s a step forward compared to the original.
