Ladybug Luck: Slot Verdict

If Wild Hop & Drop already felt short on originality, then Ladybug Luck pushes that impression even further. That’s a bit severe, and Pragmatic Play likely had its reasons for releasing it. And in fairness, it can be entertaining—at least when the bonus round kicks in. The base game, however, can feel flat, ploughing through stretches of dead spins with very little happening. With no extra modifiers or cascading wins, the fun largely depends on the randomly sized wilds and the occasional bigger cluster to break up the monotony. If the 6×6 wild lands, though, the laughter could be loud and long-lasting.

It’s probably not something you’ll see often in the base game, which makes the bonus round the part that really lifts the experience. As Fat Rabbit and its various successors and copycats have shown for some time, a roaming wild that grows in size can be genuinely exciting. The larger it becomes, the more it should help pull together bigger clusters as the ladybug wild bounces around the grid. Ladybug Luck clearly isn’t a game built around fresh ideas. In fact, it’s largely missing anything new unless you count swapping in a ladybug theme.
