Ice Mints: Slot Verdict

Ice Mints is an appealing little game, but—much like slowly dissolving a real mint—its novelty wore off fairly quickly. From the moment it loaded, it gave off a slightly unfinished vibe, as though Pragmatic Play didn’t fully push to turn it into a truly standout slot. The visuals are pleasant enough and the atmosphere feels sharply refreshing, but just as the setting lacks depth, the features do too, making it tough to stay invested once each element has had time to show what it offers.

That said, Ice Mints did produce a few solid wins, and it was notable how restrained the multiplier values were when they landed. It’s a bit frustrating that if Mints drop into a cup and trigger a wild expansion during free spins, the cup that triggered it doesn’t gain any extra multiplier value. Still, multipliers can be combined, and full wild reels can help link more wins together, so strong outcomes are certainly possible. There’s also meaningful upside, since Ice Mints has a win cap of 10,000x the bet. It does make you wonder how these caps are decided, considering Ice Mints sits at 10Kx while a slot like Power of Thor Megaways is limited to half that. But that’s part of the strange world of slot maths.

Beyond that, Ice Mints doesn’t hold many surprises, instead getting on with making the most of the tools it has. Its light, slightly insubstantial feel made it hard to fully commit, though it could still be a pleasant quick dip into the ice while waiting for Pragmatic Play’s more substantial releases.
