There’s definitely some huffing and puffing in Greedy Wolf, even if it never reaches full-on storm-force winds. It’s slick, colourful, packed with animations, and loaded with features, with a fun back-and-forth between the wolf and the piggies. At the same time, it has that familiar feel of a Pragmatic Play formula that could be assembled on autopilot. Still, the characters are used well—climbing ladders to drop in wilds or showing up to literally blow the reels clean. From a theme perspective, Greedy Wolf gives Quickspin’s classic Big Bad Wolf a serious challenge, and it does it with plenty of charm.

That charm made it easy to get pulled along once the features started landing. Early on, though, bonuses were scarce for a stretch and the game felt a little less exciting. When the action finally picked up—and with the cute character-driven animations that accompany the modifiers—it became much easier to sit back and enjoy the ride. The free spins round was the weak point, however. We’d recently reviewed Wild Chapo Dream Drop, which uses a similar approach of marking reel positions when scatters land.
