Fishtastic: Slot Overview
You know that old line about enjoying the outdoors—leave only footprints and take only photos? If that’s your vibe, you might like Red Tiger’s addition to the ever-growing fish slot library. The game is Fishtastic, and rather than hooking fish to claim their cash values, a diver snaps pictures of them instead. The outcome is familiar – land both symbol types together to pick up prizes, while a progression system gradually introduces fish symbols to the reels as players aim to move from the base game into free spins and then the bonus.
The way you “collect” has been tweaked, but the look and feel stays largely in the same lane. Action unfolds under the sea in a coral-packed setting, complete with bubbles, blue water, and plenty of aquatic residents. Fishtastic takes a clear visual detour from Red Tiger’s Sea Boat Adventure, though it does share a hint of Bass Boss in its bright, cartoonish tone. Still, there’s no actual reeling-in happening here.

A 5-reel, 4-row main grid is where Fishtastic’s standard symbols land, and it’s paired with a single-position reel on the left where diver symbols can appear (or not). The main grid carries 25 paylines, with wins paying left to right from the leftmost reel across adjacent reels. Built on a medium-high math model, the game offers a default RTP of 95.65% and lets players choose stakes from 0.10 c to $/€10 per game round.
Starting the paytable are the 10 to A card ranks, which return 2 to 3 times the bet for 5 matching royals. Above them sit 5 friendly fish characters as the top-paying symbols, delivering 4 to 40 times the bet for a 5 OAK win. Fish symbols also tie into Fishtastic Prizes too, as outlined below.
Fishtastic: Slot Features

Swimming through the reef are mechanics like fish symbol prizes, the Diver, the Golden Diver, wilds, free spins, and a bonus round.
Fish Symbols
Fishtastic begins with 1 fish unlocked for each available stake. A new fish is added to the reels with each free spins round until every fish symbol has been unlocked. The unlock order is green, blue, orange, pink, and gold. Beyond forming winning lines, fish symbols also carry stake multiplier values, which are paid out if the Diver or Golden Diver lands at the same time. Green fish values are 0.3x to 2x, blue fish values are 0.5x to 5x, orange fish values are 0.7x to 10x, pink fish values are 1x to 20x, and gold fish values are 2x to 30x. Newly introduced fish symbols are only available at the stake where they were unlocked.
Diver & Golden Diver
The Diver is a fully stacked symbol that can only land on the special reel on the left. It collects and awards prizes from all fish symbols and wilds when they appear on the same spin. The Golden Diver is also a fully stacked symbol and may land only on the special reel on the left. The Golden Diver triples the total prize gathered from fish symbols and wilds.
Wild
The wild symbol is unlocked once all fish symbols have been unlocked, using the same method as them. Wilds substitute for all pay symbols, and a winning line made of wilds pays the same as the highest-paying symbol. In addition, wilds carry prize values of 5x to 50x, which can be collected by the Diver or Golden Diver.
Free Spins
Landing 3 scatters anywhere on the reels awards 5 free spins. Upon entering the free spins round, the next fish in line is added to the reels. The newly added fish can appear during that free spins round and in all future spins. During free spins, the Diver or Golden Diver lands on every spin.
Bonus
After all fish symbols and the wild have been unlocked, the next free spins round unlocks the bonus. The progress bar above the reels is replaced by 4 stake multipliers, awarded when 4 or more scatters land on a spin. The possible prizes are 50x, 250x, 1,000x, or 5,000x the bet awarded when 4, 5, 6, or 7 scatters land, respectively. In the free spins round that unlocked the bonus, only a retrigger is possible to award one of the bonus prizes.

Fishtastic: Slot Verdict
Even if the genre didn’t exactly need it, Red Tiger has found another twist on the classic fish-symbol setup for collecting the values they carry. In general, the human-and-fish interaction in slots is about as established as it gets—and it’s still going strong, perhaps stronger than ever. It feels like a new “fresh” fish slot arrives every other week. With Fishtastic, though, it does come across as at least somewhat new, both in presentation and in how it plays.
In terms of form, you’ve got a diver in a wetsuit photographing fish rather than the usual bearded fisherman in a beanie or a clean-cut angler in a bucket hat hauling them up. It’s a welcome switch-up, even if the core loop is unchanged – land fish symbols (or wilds) alongside a diver and, bang, the prizes are paid. Where Red Tiger shifts the rhythm is through a progression system, meaning not every fish—or the wild—appears on the reels right away. That’s a familiar Red Tiger approach, encouraging players to keep spinning as the game gradually opens up and reveals more. While that suggests patience, from a purely visual, non-statistical perspective, Fishtastic seemed to trigger free spins fairly often, which can move the unlocking process along at a decent pace. One hard number we do have is the win potential, and at 6,125.3x the bet, Fishtastic can deliver a solid haul when everything lines up.
It does make you wonder how essential the 5,000x or 1,000x prizes are for getting close to the max win, because outside those two rewards it’s not immediately obvious how Fishtastic really takes off—though surprises happen. Either way, Fishtastic includes enough fresh touches to separate itself from the crowd of fishing slot relatives (even if the progressive setup won’t appeal to everyone). Maybe it’s not miles apart, but it’s at least a step or two sideways—enough to make fish slot fans stop and consider it.
