Fire Stampede 2 runs on a 6×5 reelset, with the caveat that the rightmost reel plus the upper and lower spots on the third reel are reserved for award symbols only. All paying symbols form wins by landing on adjacent reels, beginning from the leftmost reel. From low to high, the lineup includes 9-A card ranks, cacti, birds, gold nuggets, and bison. Connect & Collect

The Connect & Collect symbol can land on any non-special position on all reels except the rightmost reel. When Connect & Collect symbols are connected from left to right starting on the leftmost reel—linking horizontally or vertically—until the chain reaches one of the special positions on reel 3 or the rightmost reel, they award the prize shown on the special position that’s reached. On the rightmost reel, random groups of awards can be highlighted. If the chain reaches an award within a highlighted group, then all highlighted awards are granted. In both the base game and free spins, the special positions on reel 3 and the rightmost reel can randomly land the following:

• Respins – only available on the third reel. When reached, 5 respins are awarded. During respins, all of the initial Connect & Collect symbols remain in place while other positions respin. Any new Connect & Collect symbols also lock in place. When respins are done, any connected awards are granted. If no chain connection reaches a special position during respins, players win 3x to 10x their bet.
• Money Value – when reached, a prize of 2x to 20x may be awarded from the third reel, or 10x to 200x from the rightmost reel.

Not only does Fire Stampede 2 look familiar, it also plays in a very similar way. The core hook is still the act of connecting symbols, and it’s a solid concept—though it’s wrapped in bright, land-based-style visuals that players will probably either enjoy or dislike. Connect & Collect remains a fairly distinctive mechanic, providing a different route to potential cash wins, or at least it did the first few times Wild Streak Gaming used it. Here, some of that freshness is gone, largely because Fire Stampede 2 is a sequel that closely mirrors the original.

That said, the first Fire Stampede clearly generated enough traction for a second outing instead of a completely new project. Even so, it’s fair to wonder whether the sequel delivers enough meaningful improvements to truly energize returning players. The answer is likely yes. A major draw is the almost doubled win potential, with the maximum payout increased to 8,300x. Most special-position awards are broadly similar, but Stampede is a new addition that drops the highest value symbols into random spots, which could add some excitement, while the Minor paying 25x is less compelling. Mystery Prizes and multiplier wilds during free spins are welcome upgrades, and the highlighted group award effect is a nice touch too—though changing Random Grand Award into Random Awards may feel more like a lateral move than a clear improvement.

Overall, Fire Stampede 2 is best suited to players who already enjoyed the first game. The new elements and the larger win cap are generally positive steps, but they may not be dramatic enough to win over anyone who didn’t connect with how the original played.
