In this slot, the phoenix mostly shows up on the paytable or in transition scenes when moving from the base game into free spins. Outside of that, the setting is a weird volcanic landscape that feels a bit like Mordor. It’s not exactly the environment you’d link with phoenixes, which were said to live in Paradise. To begin, players choose a base stake of 10 p/c to $/€10 per spin, then decide whether to switch on one of 4 Power Play options – explained below. In standard play, Eternal Phoenix Megaways uses a grid with 6 main reels showing 2-7 symbols per reel, plus a 4-symbol upper reel. Eternal Phoenix Megaways is another Blueprint Gaming release that includes their Power Play function. This optional ante bet mechanic, first introduced in Pirate’s Frenzy, boosts the stake in exchange for improved play conditions. Alongside Power Play, Eternal Phoenix Megaways features cascading symbols, mystery symbols, and free spins with a progressive multiplier.

With Power Play, there are 4 options available. Each one sets the minimum Megaways on the reels to 5,000, 10,000, 15,000 or 20,000, and increases the stake by 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, or 5 times the base bet, respectively. No matter which option you pick, Power Play increases the bonus chance too.

The remaining features are standard Megaways add-ons, including the cascade system, where winning symbols disappear from the reels. Symbols then drop into the cleared spaces (either new ones or those already present), potentially creating additional wins, and the sequence stops once no further combinations land.

Mystery symbols appear as open phoenix eggs and may land anywhere. All mystery symbols on screen then change into the same randomly selected symbol, excluding wilds and scatters.

Scatter symbols, unlike the wild, can land anywhere except the upper four positions in the base game. Hitting 3 scatters awards 8 free spins, and each extra scatter adds another 5 free spins. Eternal Phoenix Megaways: Slot Verdict

Eternal Phoenix Megaways is a solid enough slot that won’t blow anyone away, but it’s also unlikely to leave you feeling like you wasted your time. It delivers what you’d expect from a straightforward Megaways title, and the four Power Play options add something extra to experiment with. The theme is fine, although the background art can feel slightly mismatched. It would have been good to see Blueprint lean into brighter mystical visuals to offset the occasionally heavy, oppressive mood. Even so, Eternal Phoenix Megaways is firmly rooted in fantasy for players who enjoy that style.

As for the mechanics, there isn’t a lot to unpack because most of what Eternal Phoenix Megaways offers has been done countless times. It’s hard to fault a reliable mix of cascades, mystery symbols, free spins, and progressive multipliers—other than noting it’s not especially original. The standout element is Power Play, which came across well. More is more, and the 20k minimum ways really shone in free spins, helping stack up some neat wins. Naturally, staking 5 times the reference bet can add up fast.

Eternal Phoenix Megaways is tricky to judge because it follows the formula so closely. That said, if Power Betting doesn’t interest you, the rest likely won’t move the needle either, as it’s very straightforward Megaways play – though the max win is immense.
