Diamond Blitz 2: Slot Overview
Red Tiger is a studio that’s been around the block, and at the time of writing it has released over 300 games. With a catalogue that big, you naturally get a wide spread of styles and ideas. That’s exactly what you’ll see when digging through Red Tiger’s back library, with themes ranging from Primates to Pirates and plenty more besides. There are sequels in the mix as well, with Gonzo’s Quest Megaways standing out as a well-known example, along with today’s title, Diamond Blitz 2. It follows the 2020 release Diamond Blitz, and while some elements have been changed and others kept familiar, a few areas arguably could have used more refinement.
Like the first game (despite a small visual tweak compared to the original), Diamond Blitz 2 leans hard into a classic slot presentation, with a reel set packed with old-school symbols. The overall mood is a bit funky, with flashing lights and background patterns, including diamond outlines that resemble the R7-style shape. Still, focusing too much on the look and sound mostly just underlines the main takeaway: Diamond Blitz 2 is a traditional slot that resembles a great many others.

One notable difference between the original and DB2 is the shift from the first game’s 20 paylines to win setup to a 1,024 ways to win format. In several respects, that’s a positive change, since Diamond Blitz 2 leans heavily on semi-sticky/sticky-ish wild symbols as core mechanics, and the higher ways count gives them more room to do their job. Play takes place on a 5-reel grid with 4 rows per reel, delivered in a medium-high volatile style, and the default RTP sits at 95.75%. Bets range from 10 c to $/€100 per paid spin.
In Diamond Blitz 2’s pay table, the standard symbols are cherries, lemons, plums, grapes, watermelons, BARs, horseshoes, bells, purple 7s, and gold 7s. Connecting 5 OAK returns 0.3 to 0.4 times the bet for the fruit symbols, or 1 to 10 times the bet for the rest.
Diamond Blitz 2: Slot Features

Keep an eye out for wilds, especially across the upper 3 rows, as well as Blitz scatters, since these can set off respins, Blitz Mode, and Blitz Spins.
Wilds
Wilds replace all pay symbols and can appear on reels 2, 3, and 4. If a wild lands on any of the upper 3 rows, respins are triggered once any initial win has been paid. During respins, wilds stay on the grid, but they move downwards 1 position with each respin. Any wild that reaches the bottom row will spin off the reels on the next respin, if there is one. Additional wilds can land during respins. Respins keep going for as long as wild symbols remain on any of the upper 3 rows.
Blitz Mode
The Blitz scatter symbol can land on the middle reel only. When a Blitz scatter appears, it activates Blitz Mode for the current spin plus the next 4 spins. The Blitz scatter symbol cannot land on respins or during Blitz Spins. Landing a wild in Blitz Mode activates Blitz Spins. Landing the Blitz scatter in Blitz Mode resets the Blitz Mode spin counter back to four.
Blitz Spins
Hitting a wild in Blitz mode or landing a wild symbol alongside a Blitz scatter initiates 4 Blitz Spins. In Blitz Spins, wild symbols remain on the grid and move down 1 position each spin, but they do not disappear. Instead, they remain locked at the lowest available position on the reel that isn’t already occupied by another wild symbol.
If a wild symbol lands on or reaches the last free position on a reel, it grants +1 additional Blitz Spin. Landing a new wild during Blitz Spins resets the spin counter back to 4. Once a Blitz Spins sequence ends, all wilds are unlocked. Should any wilds be left on the upper 3 rows, standard respins begin and continue until the final wild reaches the bottommost reel position.

Diamond Blitz 2: Slot Verdict
There were moments that felt suitably blitzy, and others that leaned into the diamond theme, but Diamond Blitz 2 ended up feeling slightly underpowered overall. The feature flow has been adjusted: instead of Blitz Mode arriving at random (which, in the original, was basically that game’s take on Blitz Spins), you now need to trigger Blitz Mode by landing a Blitz scatter and then land a wild to move into the Blitz Spins stage. Alternatively, you can hit a scatter and a wild together. It’s a trade-off and broadly similar in effect, though in Diamond Blitz 2 wilds can trigger respins, and when they land during Blitz Spins they reset the counter, which is a helpful touch.
All in all, Diamond Blitz 2 is an easy-to-grasp fruit slot with a traditional, land-based casino atmosphere. It may appeal to players who enjoy classic slots, but it probably won’t reach truly iconic status.
