Christmas Tree 2: Slot Overview
It had been a few days since the last Christmas-themed release, so it felt like the seasonal wave might have died down. Apparently not, because TrueLab Games has rolled out another festive title called Christmas Tree 2. As the name suggests, it follows on from Christmas Tree, which arrived around a year earlier right on cue for the holidays. So what’s new? Honestly, not a huge amount. A handful of tweaks have been made, including the addition of a Snowman Bet feature, and the updated RTP is pleasantly warming—certainly more so than before. Let’s go through everything in the review and see how much holiday spirit it manages to deliver.
Visually, there’s been a small touch-up. It’s the kind of change you could miss if you blink, but the ornaments on the tree-shaped grid look a bit sharper than in the original. As promised, it’s minor. The setup is still the same: from top to bottom the symbols sit in a 2-3-4-5-6-7 formation, which could have been awkward if TrueLab hadn’t used a cluster pays format. On the left side, the Snowman character bobs around as cheerfully as ever, ready to fling snowballs onto the grid to activate a modifier. Overall, it ticks the festive boxes—trees, snow, decorations—more than enough to set the scene.
Over on the right, opposite the Snowman, sits one of the headline additions: the Snowman Bet feature, and it dramatically changes what each spin costs. With it turned off, you can wager from 40 p/c to $/€400. Switch Snowman Bet on, and the stake jumps to a staggering $/€8 to $/€8,000 per spin (though most casinos will likely cap the top end). Another eye-opener is the revised RTP: 98.03% in the standard mode, or 98.07% with Snowman betting enabled.
To win on this tree, you need at least 5 matching symbols in adjacent positions to form a paying cluster, which then kicks off the cascade mechanic. The regular symbols are all tree ornaments: three different low-pay coloured baubles, mid-pay canes, sweets, and bells, followed by high-pay angels and Santas. The biggest-paying clusters contain 27 symbols and award a huge 3,000 to 15,000x the base bet. Another key icon is the snow globe wild, which substitutes for anything except mystery symbols or scatters.
Christmas Tree 2: Slot Features

Things to anticipate in Christmas Tree 2 include cascades, the Snowman extra, Blizzards, and Miracle Spins.
Snowman
From time to time, the Snowman hurls snowballs at low and medium symbols at the start of a random spin. Any symbols that get hit—both the ones already on the grid and any that appear later— transform into Golden wilds. Despite the fancy label, Golden wilds don’t have any added powers; they’re simply wild versions of the standard symbols. If Snowman Bet is enabled, the Snowman feature activates every spin.
Blizzard
Once there are no winning clusters remaining, a Blizzard can roll across the grid and leave behind 3-9 mystery symbols. All mystery symbols then turn into the same symbol, and it can be anything, including wilds or scatters. Blizzards can occur in the base game as well as during free spins.
Miracle Spins
Miracle Spins begin when 3 gold star scatters appear on the reels. For clarity, scatters only show up when they’re uncovered by the Blizzard feature. Also, each extra scatter visible beyond the third grants one additional free spin. The Snowman is active on each Miracle Spin and, after every cascade win, a progressive win multiplier increases by +1.
Christmas Tree 2: Slot Verdict
It doesn’t stray far from Christmas Tree part one, though a few adjustments have been made. One move that likely won’t please everyone is the removal of the Christmas Present feature, which previously triggered after landing at least three consecutive cascade wins. Sure, Christmas isn’t only about gifts, but they’re a big part of the enjoyment. To make up for it, TrueLab has pushed the RTP up to attention-grabbing levels. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a number this high, and it’s fitting that it turns up in a Christmas-themed slot of all places.
The other big change is the Snowman Bet, which could be tempting to overuse. Having snowballs thrown onto the tree every spin definitely adds energy, no question. But it comes at a cost, and a x20 increase in stake is hard to ignore when you’re trying to manage a bankroll—especially since the 40 p/c minimum effectively becomes $/€8 per spin. That’s a massive jump, though it’s entirely optional and gives bigger spenders a way to ramp things up. As for overall potential, Christmas Tree 2 is a little less generous than the original. This time, TrueLab has limited the maximum win to 15,000x the bet, still impressive, but well below the 25,000x offered by the first game.
Even with the tweaks, Christmas Tree 2 feels broadly in line with the initial release. The triangular grid is a fun change of pace if you enjoy cluster-paying grid slots, and the expanded betting options may appeal to high rollers looking for extra action. Beyond that, Christmas Tree 2 is about as solid as most other Xmas slots—great for one day of the year, and maybe less so for the rest.
