Chaos Crew 3: Slot Overview
Hacksaw Gaming launched the first Chaos Crew slot in 2020, and it quickly stood out as an early showcase of the studio’s offbeat, experimental edge, while also marking a sharp turn away from the more kid-friendly themes of earlier titles like Om Nom, Cash Compass, and The Respinners. Those games were solid in their own way, but Chaos Crew brought a rebellious, punk-leaning vibe that helped push Hacksaw Gaming toward the online slot heavyweight status it enjoys today. A few years later the team followed up with Chaos Crew 2, which significantly broadened the original concept, and now we’ve been handed Chaos Crew 3.
Chaos Crew 3 continues the franchise’s loud, unmistakable look and attitude, throwing players headfirst into disorder alongside a ragtag lineup of weird characters. Returning favourites like Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull are back, joined by a newcomer: the Glitch Dog, Milo (as the kennel tag suggests). Overall, it delivers the same neon-drenched, chaotic plunge into anarchy that series fans have come to expect.

Chaos Crew slots revolve around their Reel Multiplier-building bonuses, though there’s also a standard base game where 19 paylines determine regular line wins. The action always plays out on a 5×5 gaming area, with stakes ranging from 10c to $/€30 per spin. The top RTP is 96.18%, and the underlying math model is highly volatile.
Standard symbols include C, H, A, O, S, low pays, plus hang loose hands, brains, stop signs, pizza slices, and bomb high pays. Low symbols pay up to 2x the bet for 5 OAK, while landing 5 matching high pays adds 5x to 10x to the balance.
Chaos Crew 3: Slot Features

Part three’s feature set includes Cranky Cat symbols, Epic Drops, Crazy Multipliers, Glitch Dogs, three bonus rounds, and feature buys.
Cranky Cat
The Cranky Cat symbol acts as a wild multiplier, substituting for every symbol on the pay table. If Cranky Cat helps form a win, it boosts that win by its shown value of x2 to x20. When multiple Cranky Cats contribute to the same win, they multiply each other before the final multiplier is applied. In the base game, a maximum of one Cranky Cat can appear on each reel.
Can You Spell Chaos?
Hitting 5 low pay symbols that spell CHAOS horizontally across a row activates an Epic Drop. During the Epic Drop, a Reel Multiplier of x1 is placed above every reel. The 5 CHAOS symbols transform into Glitch Dogs that jump to new positions before the grid locks in. Every other symbol becomes a dead symbol. Once the Glitch Dogs land in their new spots, each one glitches (converts) into a Crazy Multiplier symbol. The available Crazy Multiplier symbols are:
- Sketchy Skull – adds its value to the Reel Multiplier once.
- Epic Sketchy Skull – adds its value to all Reel Multipliers once.
- Cranky Cat – multiplies its Reel Multiplier once.
- Epic Cranky Cat – multiplies all Reel Multipliers once.
Sketchy Skull values are x1 to x100, and Cranky Cat values are x2 to x20. When the Epic Drop finishes, the combined Reel Multiplier value is paid out, then reset ready for the next spin.
CTRL + ALT + CHAOS
Landing 3 FS scatters in the base game starts this feature. During it, only dead symbols, Glitch Dogs, or Crazy Multipliers can appear. The round begins with 3 free spins, shown as 3 lives on the Life Meter, plus Reel Multipliers of x1 above each reel. Whenever a Crazy Multiplier lands, the lives reset back to 3. A Glitch Dog also refills the Life Meter the first time it appears. The feature ends once all lives are used up.
Glitch Dogs and Crazy Multipliers landing will increase the Reel Multipliers. Any Glitch Dog that lands glitches into one of the Crazy Multiplier symbols, which adds its value to the Reel Multiplier. After the Reel Multipliers have been updated, the Glitch Dog returns to its original form and jumps to a new position on the next spin, repeating the cycle. When the round concludes, the Reel Multipliers are totalled and awarded.
The Korrupted K9
This bonus is activated by landing 4 FS scatters in the base game. It follows the same rules as CTRL + ALT + CHAOS, but begins with at least 4 Crazy Multipliers and 1 Glitch Dog already on the grid. On top of that, a Chaos Upgrade symbol can land and will trigger if a Crazy Multiplier or Glitch Dog sits within one position of it inside a 3×3 square. When triggered, the Chaos Upgrade adds a multiplier of x1 to x100 to all Crazy Multipliers and Glitch Dog symbols inside that 3×3 area. The Chaos Upgrade value does not feed into the Reel Multipliers, and the symbol is removed for the next spin. Only 1 Chaos Upgrade can land per spin, and it won’t refill the Life Meter.
An Epic Glitch – Hidden Epic Bonus
Landing 5 FS scatter in the base game triggers An Epic Glitch, the hidden epic bonus round. Alongside The Korrupted K9 mechanics, this bonus guarantees a full grid from the start containing Crazy Multipliers, 1 Chaos Upgrade, and at least 1 Glitch Dog.
Feature Buy
Chaos Crew 3’s BonusHunt FeatureSpins are priced at 5x the bet and make each spin 10 times more likely to trigger a bonus game, while Byte Me Epic Drop FeatureSpins cost 200x and guarantee at least 5 Crazy Multipliers land on every spin. CTRL + ALT + CHAOS is available to buy for 100x, or The Korrupted K9 for 200x – purchasing this bonus can trigger An Epic Glitch.

Chaos Crew 3: Slot Verdict
The step up from Chaos Crew to Chaos Crew 2 was a major technical progression, with the sequel adding a pile of new mechanics like a broader selection of multiplier symbols (including sticky variants), plus the inventive Best of Bonus idea, where players receive three bonus or super bonus rounds and keep the payout from the best-performing one. That approach has shown up in a handful of Hacksaw Gaming releases such as Dawn of Kings and Slayers INC, though it hasn’t been used much lately. It’s not part of Chaos Crew 3 either, and the third instalment doesn’t feel like the same scale of mechanical leap as the jump from part one to part two. That doesn’t mean it lacks fresh ideas, however.
The most noticeable addition is the Glitch Dog, which features across all bonuses, Epic Drop included. Is it an upgrade over the sticky Skulls and Cats from part two? Possibly, possibly not, but Glitch Dogs bring their own excitement as they ricochet around the grid, revealing values that feed into Reel Multipliers before switching back into dogs and hopping again. Chaos Upgrades add a similar layer, capable of boosting multiplier values in specific grid zones when they land in the right place. Both mechanics can be effective and genuinely entertaining, even if some long-time Crew fans were expecting an even bigger next-gen leap.
Even so, once you look past the add-ons, Chaos Crew 3 still nails the core Chaos Crew formula: using Crazy Multipliers to build Reel Multipliers and then cashing in the total. And there’s plenty of potential upside here too, with wins reaching up to 30,000x the bet, which any mode can theoretically deliver. The end result is a solid return to mayhem with Cranky, Sketchy, and Milo, plus new twists for both newcomers and returning players to explore.
