Big Bass Bonanza 1000: Slot Overview
To breathe new life into established titles and attract both loyal fans and fresh players, Pragmatic Play has been rolling out ‘1000’ revamps for a while. Previous releases such as Sugar Rush 1000, Sweet Bonanza 1000, and Gates of Olympus 1000 are typically expanded in some way compared to the originals. Working alongside partner Reel Kingdom, the studio has revisited one of its flagship games, Big Bass Bonanza, made a handful of changes, and released the enhanced edition, Big Bass Bonanza 1000.
Visually, though, there’s not much to shout about. Big Bass Bonanza 1000 serves up the familiar Big Bass backdrop: a bubble-edged transparent reel window, water, rocks, and the usual scenery. The symbol set is the same, the fisherman wild returns, and overall it feels very familiar. The “1000” above the reels hints that something has changed, but for much of the session, Big Bass Bonanza 1000 plays very similarly to the original.

Wins are formed from the leftmost reel across 10 paylines on a 5×3 grid. The maximum RTP is a solid 96.51%, and the game runs on a highly volatile model. Stakes range from 10 c to $/€250, and for players willing to boost the wager by 50%, the ante bet increases the likelihood of triggering free spins by adding more scatters to the reels.
The paytable sticks to classic BBB staples, from 10-A card ranks through to fish symbols, tackle boxes, reels, dragonflies, and floats. Landing five of a kind returns 5 to 200 times the bet, while wilds substitute for any standard paying symbol – although wilds are not available in the base game.
Big Bass Bonanza 1000: Slot Features

The base game is pretty bare-bones, so the action really starts once free spins are triggered. This happens by landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters, awarding 10, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. In the base game, if 2 scatters land, there’s a chance another scatter is added via a random respin or hook pull feature.
In free spins, every wild that lands collects the values of all visible money symbols. Here, the fish act as money symbols, each carrying a value of 2x to 1,000x the bet. Wilds are also collected. Each fourth wild collected retriggers the feature, granting +10 more free spins and applying a multiplier to money symbol collection of x2 on the first retrigger, x3 on the second retrigger, and x10 on the third retrigger. Any retriggered spins are played once the current set of free spins finishes, and the multiplier is active during those retriggered spins.
Also in free spins, randomly, fish money symbols can appear provided at least one wild is on screen. Alternatively, wilds and money symbols may randomly be pulled onto the reels after the spin ends via a hook animation.
Feature Buys
From the bonus buy menu, you can purchase the standard free spins feature for 100x the bet, or opt for super free spins—where the chance of landing money symbols with 1,000x values is increased—for 450x the bet.

Big Bass Bonanza 1000: Slot Verdict
It’s been a long time coming, hasn’t it? With so many entries in the Big Bass series, you could be forgiven for thinking a 1000 edition would have arrived sooner. Still, it’s here at last—and it largely delivers what you’d expect. Much of the experience is standard Big Bass gameplay, with a couple of adjustments that place Big Bass Bonanza 1000 slightly apart from most of its siblings. They’re somewhat unusual tweaks, too. The “1000” angle seems tied to the 1,000x fish value, yet the largest fish is only half of the 2,000x top fish money symbol that is theoretically available in the first Big Bass Bonanza slot, which takes a bit of the shine off.
On the other hand, to even things out and keep it competitive, Big Bass Bonanza 1000 pushes its win cap far beyond Big Bass Bonanza’s, offering a much bigger target of 20,000x the bet for players to pursue—or at least dream about landing. That’s essentially the main justification for its place in the 1000 lineup. The other standout is the super free spins buy, which is pricey at 450x but gives gamblers a stronger shot at running into the big fish. Overall, Big Bass Bonanza 1000 can feel a touch underwhelming, as it mainly halves the top money symbol while opening up the maximum win potential. Even so, for players who want the Big Bass formula but felt the original’s win ceiling was a little too limited, Big Bass Bonanza 1000 should do the job.
