Yummy Wilds: Overview
Launched in 2015, Max Win Gaming is a small indie studio that has been creating titles for Red Tiger. This ultra-sugary game, Yummy Wilds, is instead delivered through Relax Gaming’s Silverbullet platform. After a few underwhelming outings that failed to make much noise in the slots scene, could switching platforms be the refresh Max Win Gaming has been looking for?
Yummy Wilds appears positioned as a more mainstream-friendly release; candy themes remain a reliable crowd-pleaser. Still, the layout and mechanics are about as classic as they come. Will it deliver a sweet hit or leave a bad aftertaste? Let’s take a closer look.
Visually, Max Win Gaming gets the style right for this kind of slot. Soft pastel tones dominate, with candy beams glowing in the background and assorted sweets scattered across the foreground. It inevitably brings other games to mind, such as Pragmatic’s Sweet Bonanza, though Max Win Gaming opts for a more traditional 5-reel, 3-row format to run the show.
The reels themselves are quite minimal, featuring a simple beige backdrop bordered by twisted pink trim to finish off the tooth-aching vibe. Choose your stake and set the treats spinning, with bets starting at a low-roller-friendly 10 p/c per spin and reaching 50 €/$ at the top end. The rules are straightforward: hit three or more matching symbols from left to right to get paid. There are no paylines to follow, since wins can land on any row, giving 243 ways to win.
The paytable is packed with sugary goodies, beginning with 10-A boiled sweets as the lower-value symbols. Next come a gold and green candy, a blue and pink sweet, a cupcake, and an extra fancy cupcake. In terms of payouts, five-of-a-kind hits on the premium symbols pay between 5x and 10x.
Boosting the hit potential are 5 different wilds that can appear at specific times, though only one is present in the base game. It’s a standard 1×1 wild that substitutes for all symbols except the scatter. In both the base game and free spins, wilds can only land on reels 2, 3, and 4.
Up to now, every Max Win Gaming slot has used a highly volatile math model. There’s no official statement for Yummy Wilds, but there’s little to suggest it’s anything other than high volatility again. Also consistent is the developer’s preference for an RTP below 96%. Here, Yummy Wilds comes in at 95.49%, so at least it stays on brand. The upside is that the stated max win is strong and notably high.
Yummy Wilds: Features

Now for the bonuses, which are built around the bright and bonkers Wild Dispenser. This candy-making machine is triggered by the bonus symbol – landing 3 or more anywhere on the reels awards a random number of free spins up to 20. As a little extra, bonus symbols also award 5x, 20x or 50x the stake when 3, 4, or 5 appear on the screen.
A short transition scene featuring the Wild Dispenser plays before Free Spins begin. After it finishes wobbling, the dispenser drops a candy that applies one of four free spin modifiers:
- Random wild – every free spin is given a random number of wilds.
- Locked wild – any wild symbols become locked in place for the entire feature.
- Expanding wild – all wild symbols that land expand to fill a whole reel.
- Multiplier wild – every wild that appears carries a multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 4x. If more than one multiplier wild is visible, the multipliers on all wild symbols are added together.
Yummy Wilds: Verdict
It’s definitely not the freshest slot in terms of theme or core gameplay. This style has been done countless times since iGaming began, so it largely feels familiar. That said, it’s put together competently – 243 win ways is always welcome, the visuals and effects are clean, and in some ways it feels like a move in the right direction for Max Win Gaming. Maybe not a huge leap, but if gummy bear-style slots are your preference, Yummy Wilds could still be worth a look.
Even though the base play isn’t especially intense, Yummy Wilds does have two points that may catch certain players’ attention. First is the bonus round, which can turn into a serious wild party when things line up – especially in the locked wild version. If several wilds get pinned to reels 2 and 3 early, it can pump out wins on spin after spin, which is always entertaining.
The second plus is the game’s upside. Max Win Gaming states that wins of up to 9,442 times the stake can happen, and that figure seems believable given how powerful the different free spins variations can be.
If you’re into candy visuals, plenty of wilds, and some solid potential behind them, you may enjoy the pink, syrupy world of Yummy Wilds. On the flip side, its presentation and play can often feel like something from a decade ago. The base game may be a fairly bland, gelatin-like experience, but the free spins feature can deliver a genuine sugar rush.
