Vegas Rush: Slot Overview
For a spell, things had gone a bit quiet on the Megaclusters side of things at the time of writing. Big Time Gaming’s Aussie hit feature—almost like a cell dividing—had been sitting idle, either building momentum or collecting dust, waiting for its next run. That silence is over, because Big Time Gaming has planted the machine right in one of the loudest, wildest places on the planet: Sin City. Yep, we’re heading to Las Vegas in a slot called Vegas Rush, backed up by a stack of different features.
If you can’t get to Vegas in person, is acting like you’re there the next best option? If so, Big Time Gaming leans into the fantasy by presenting Vegas Rush as though you’re inside a bustling gaming room surrounded by real-world slot cabinets. There aren’t any people, mind you, so you’ll need to imagine the crowd—punters hammering the play button on their chosen machine, hoping a few extra coins come flying out. It’s a style BTG used recently in Vegas Megaways, which was essentially a rebrand—or more accurately, an un-branding—of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Megaways. Vegas Megaways acts as a foundation for Vegas Rush, which then piles on gameplay lifted more or less directly from another title.

Jump in and choose your stake, with Vegas Rush offering bets as low as 20 p/c per spin or as high as $/€20. As is typical for BTG, volatility is high, so it may not be ideal for a laid-back “I’m in Vegas” session, even though the 96.44%-96.45% return to player is hard to argue with. As a cluster pays game, Vegas Rush plays out on a 5×5 grid that expands—and sort of contracts at the same time—once winning clusters begin landing.
A winning cluster forms when at least 5 identical symbols touch each other anywhere on the grid. After that, the winning symbols disappear, and each one is replaced by 4 smaller symbols. Any wins made by the smaller symbols are removed and refilled in a standard reaction-style way. At full stretch, the grid can hold up to 100 symbols on the grid. The symbol set sticks to classic gambling imagery such as casino chips, dice, BARs, four-leaf clovers, horseshoes, cherries and diamonds. Hitting a 25+ sized winning cluster pays out 30 to 50 times the bet. Wilds of different sizes can also appear on the board, as covered next. Regardless of size, wilds can substitute for any regular pay symbol when calculating wins.
Vegas Rush: Slot Features

The reaction system in Vegas Rush feeds straight into the Megatrail, which comes with 12 types of bonuses, including free spins if you reach the seventh step on the trail. Alternatively, players can skip the climb and purchase them via the bonus buy menu.
Megatrail Bonuses
Back-to-back reaction wins progress players up the Megatrail Bonuses ladder, activating the following modifiers:
- Wilds – up to 10 wilds are added at random to the grid.
- Multiplier Wilds – wilds with up to x5 multipliers are added to the grid.
- Symbol Explosions – all instances of the displayed symbol remove all symbols in its row or column.
- Symbol Subdivide – all big instances of the displayed symbol turn into 4 smaller ones of the same type.
- Symbol to Wild – every instance of the displayed symbol turns wild.
- Mega Wild – a grid of 4 wilds is placed on the grid. Two grids in free spins.
- Win Multiplier – a multiplier of up to x10 is generated for the spin but is not applied to the Bonus Prize.
- Explosions – up to 3 explosions in a certain shape remove symbols from the grid.
- Symbol Duplication – five big instances of the displayed symbol are added in a row or column.
- 50:50 – all symbols in the top, bottom, left, or right of the grid are removed.
- Max Megaclusters – all big symbols are placed by 4 smaller ones.
The top rung of the trail, rung 12, carries a cash reward of up to 1,000x the bet in the base game.
Free Spins
Reaching the seventh ring of the Megatrail in the base game grants 6 free spins. During free spins, an enhanced version of the Megatrail is in play, where the rung 12 top reward is up to 2,000x the bet. Landing on rung 6 gives 3 extra free spins, and in theory you can collect up to 99 free spins overall.
Bonus Buy
Lastly, players can purchase free spins instead of working up the trail in the base game, priced at 60 times the bet.

Vegas Rush: Slot Verdict
Vegas Rush is a slightly strange release in a few respects. It feels as if Big Time Gaming has essentially taken the gameplay from Millionaire Rush, stripped out the Millionaire elements, and swapped in the visuals from Vegas Megaways. Done and dusted—another Megaclusters slot ready for the crowd. There’s no huge complaint in that, but it does come across as a surprisingly shortcut-heavy move from a studio known for taking its time and pouring serious creativity into genuinely new ideas. In truth, Vegas Rush doesn’t feel especially new at all. That’s not to say every release has to feel like a warm pair of freshly cleaned underwear straight from the drier. It’s just an unusual position to be in when assessing a Big Time Gaming game. Still, as with Vegas Megaways, it makes sense if this is simply a repackaged version of Millionaire Rush aimed at a different audience.
Putting the déjà vu to one side, there’s a lot to like about Vegas Rush. The earlier game was solid, and this one plays just as well. The Megaclusters-driven grid looks sharp dressed in neon takes on classic slot icons, and leaning into the “casino night” vibe can be entertaining too—without needing to dress up or hunt for parking. The Megatrail worked well last time, and it brings a heap of strong modifiers it can dump onto the reels to keep things moving. In the base game, Vegas Rush can push all the way to 33,050x the bet, and it can potentially climb to 47,200x the stake in free spins.
There’s a good chance some players will slam Vegas Rush for not offering much in the way of fresh creativity. After all, it’s basically born from combining the two games mentioned above, with little to nothing new to show off. Even so, it remains an enjoyable slot, so if Megaclusters in a pretend Vegas environment sounds pretty nang, this one will do the job.
