True Kult: Slot Overview
People often point out that not every strange or newly formed group automatically qualifies as a cult. With True Kult, though, Nolimit City isn’t exactly being subtle. The game’s own blurb lays it out plainly – ‘Free your mind, body and soul from the shackles of every day life and be reborn into the one True Kult. What are you waiting for? Join us. Eternal Bliss Awaits.’ Sounds perfectly harmless, doesn’t it?
At first glance, True Kult’s base game doesn’t look especially menacing either. You’re placed in a grassy outdoor setting where a wooden reel grid sits embedded in the earth, bordered by flowers and stones. It’s not as cartoony as Book of Shadows, yet it also doesn’t lean as heavily into horror as Blood & Shadow. Instead, it gives off that “friendly on the surface” vibe—uplifting slogans up front, then gradually tightening the psychological screws as the experience escalates, until the end result feels like a total transformation from ordinary seeker to unhinged midnight fanatic in a stone circle. Or something along those (admittedly exaggerated) lines. As usual, the soundtrack nails the pacing too, building from the slow-burning base game into heightened intensity during The Seance, before shifting into full metal-meets-The Omen territory in The Sacrifice bonus round.

The truly intimidating part may be the math: True Kult’s volatility is labelled ‘Extreme’, scoring a full 10 out of 10 from the developer. It comes in multiple RTP setups, with the default set to 96.06%, or 96.14% when the xBet is enabled. Players can choose base stakes from 20 p/c to $/€100, and switching on the xBet means the wager is multiplied by 3. With xBet active, you’re 4 times more likely to trigger The Seance and 6 times more likely to trigger Sacrifice Spins. The action plays out on a 6-reel, 3-row layout, where the sixth reel starts the base game locked—so 243 ways to win are in play—then, once opened, the ways to win increase to 729. On top of that, symbols can split, adding even more potential ways.
The paytable is split between low card symbols—T, L, V, K (a clear black metal nod) and A—plus five premium Devotee symbols. A 5 OAK of kind win returns 1-1.25x the bet for the low symbols and 1.5-4x the bet for the Devotees. After reel six is unlocked, a 6-symbol win pays 1.5-2.5x for the cards and 2.75 to 5 times the bet for the Devotees. Wilds show up at different stages, as covered in the features section, and they substitute for standard paying symbols.
True Kult: Slot Features

True Kult packs in plenty of mechanics here, including Baptism of Fire, scatters, True Believer Wilds, Tarot Multipliers, The Seance, Sacrifice Spins, and the Nolimit Bonus.
Baptism By Fire
These are stacked symbols that reveal a high-pay Devotee symbol of the same type or scatter symbols in the base game. Skull Wilds can be uncovered during the bonus rounds.
Scatters
Scatter symbols appear on reels 2 to 5. Landing 2 scatter symbols opens up reel number 6, pushing the ways to win up to 729. Hitting 3 scatter symbols triggers The Seance bonus mode, while landing 4 scatters activates The Sacrifice bonus mode. In addition, if a scatter lands on reel 6 during The Seance activates the Sacrifice bonus mode.
True Believer Wilds
The 3 stacked True Believer symbol can only land on reel 6—and it only comes into play once that sixth reel is opened. True Believer symbols randomly turn low pay card symbols on reels 2-5 into wilds. The True Believer symbol will transform into the same Devotee symbols.
Tarot Multiplier
Tarot Multiplier symbols land on reel 6, and only function when reel six is open. Tarot symbols reveal one of the Devotee symbols and a ways multiplier of x5 to x99. If they aren’t used immediately, these multipliers are collected for the bonus modes. Any collected multiplier becomes sticky for the duration of The Sacrifice bonus mode.

The Seance
Landing 3 scatter symbols awards 7 free spins in The Seance bonus mode. In this feature, 3 All Seeing Eye frames are in play from the start. They move randomly across reels 2-5 on every spin, and any symbol that lands inside a frame splits into two. The sixth reel remains open throughout, allowing True Believer symbols and Tarot multipliers to appear. Tarot Multiplier symbols turn into a Devotee symbol plus an added symbol multiplier. If that multiplier doesn’t get used, it’s stored until the next time the same symbol lands. After it has been applied to the reels, the multiplier is removed. If another Tarot Multiplier lands and reveals the same Devotee symbol as one already collected, the higher value is taken and the multiplier count is updated. This count indicates how many of that symbol can be upgraded by the Tarot Multiplier. Landing a Skull Wild symbol awards an extra free spin and also adds an extra All Seeing Eye frame. If a Skull lands inside a frame, it becomes a double wild, but it won’t grant an additional All Seeing Eye.
Sacrifice Spins
Landing 4 scatters awards 10 free spins in The Sacrifice bonus mode. The Seance rules mostly carry over, with a few key differences. First, this mode begins with 4 All Seeing Eye frames instead of 3. Also, as in the other bonus, reel six opens and can contain True Believer symbols and Tarot Multipliers. The difference is that the symbol multiplier will be sticky and saved for the remainder of the round, applying to the reels whenever the relevant symbol lands.
Nolimit Bonus
Through the Nolimit Bonus, players can purchase 7 free spins in The Seance bonus mode for 68 times the bet (RTP 96.19%) or 10 free spins in The Sacrifice bonus mode for 400 times the bet (RTP 96.3%). A third choice is a lucky draw costing 234x the bet, offering a 50/50 chance to trigger either bonus mode (RTP 96.32%).

True Kult: Slot Verdict
On the theme side, True Kult is put together with real care. It doesn’t rely on blatantly graphic cult imagery—no over-the-top blood rituals or similar shock tactics. Instead, it works its way under your skin as more layers of the game are uncovered. It’s a slow drip of oddness, much like you’d imagine a real cult scenario might unfold, until you could almost picture someone being swept along before they even realise it…. Not that True Kult is actually doing that, of course, but it does deliver strong animations, strange cult visuals, and a definite hint of darkness. It may not go quite as far as Serial, Mental, Disturbed or certain NLC Westerns, but there are still standout moments—like the big win count-ups.
Mechanically, it’s the kind of slot that can produce genuinely exciting spikes, though anyone familiar with Nolimit City knows their games can be punishing too. With a free spins hit frequency of 1 in 219, the bonus modes may not appear constantly, but they’re not exactly once-in-a-lifetime either—at least in theory. What’s particularly interesting is how similar the two bonus modes are on paper, yet how different they feel due to the changes. One difference is the extra starting frame; the other is the stickiness of the symbol multiplier, which is arguably the bigger shift. Tarot Multipliers could easily end up being thrown onto the reels when the matching symbol landed but didn’t connect into a win, meaning they were wasted. It’s far more useful when multipliers can be applied repeatedly until the feature ends.
As is often the case with an extremely volatile slot, True Kult can swing hard between extremes. It may grind away in the base game, then suddenly erupt when split symbols and symbol multipliers collide in the bonus rounds—plus everything in between. True Kult doesn’t come across as Not Nolimit City’s finest work, and at 23,237x the bet it isn’t the studio’s biggest either, but it’s another release that blends familiar elements, fresh ideas, and the outright weird into a distinctive mix.
