Whether Tower Tumble should be seen as a follow-up to Temple Tumble or treated as its own separate release is open to interpretation. Either way, it’s clearly a distinctive slot. This time around, the studio has moved away from the Megaways engine used in Temple Tumble and opted for a simplified Tumble Reels setup instead. It can start to feel repetitive fairly fast. The headline attraction is the free spins with their ‘unlimited’ multiplier, though the real-world experience often falls short of the marketing. Expect plenty of spins that are dead or pay very little while trying to unlock the Tower Climb feature, and the journey to reach it didn’t quite deliver what we hoped for.

What adds to the disappointment is that Tower Tumble doesn’t really feel like an upgrade over Temple Tumble. There are fewer pay ways, the maximum win of 5,150 times the stake is notably smaller, and the overall buzz is reduced. The main audience it may appeal to more strongly is players who genuinely enjoy this cute fantasy style. Triggering free spins by clearing all blocked tiles isn’t especially frequent here, but it’s a mechanic that’s showing up more often.
