Totem Poles Slot (Mini Review)
Totem Poles, created by Hacksaw partner Kitsune Studios, is a 3×3 slot featuring 11 paylines, a 96.27% RTP, and a top payout of 10,000x. It pairs a Native American-inspired setting with a stacking-style twist: whenever you land a full reel of identical symbols, you activate the Spirit Wheel for multipliers or a route into a bonus. Overall it’s a decent game—quite inventive in how it’s built, though not exactly essential. Visually it’s tidy and colourful, set against a desert background that looks fine but feels a bit generic and lacking character.
You win by matching three of the same symbol from the left, and returns tend to be modest unless stacked symbols show up. Once the Spirit Wheel is triggered, it can award multipliers up to x200, the 10,000x jackpot, or entry into one of two bonus modes. Odoodem Spins and Super Odoodem Spins both revolve around a multiplier trail that increases with consecutive wins, adding some pace when the hits start chaining. The Super version just begins at a higher level and ramps up more quickly. There’s also a feature buy menu with multiple choices, although the higher-end buys bring notably steep volatility.
Totem Poles brings a few genuinely interesting touches—particularly the stacked-reel wheel activation—but it can also come across as a bit awkward and stripped-back, with the base game in particular sometimes feeling slow. Even so, once the connections between the features click, there’s enough happening to keep it reasonably fun, even if it never fully rises above its own simplicity.
