The G.O.A.T: Slot Overview
Once upon a time, calling someone a “goat” in sport wasn’t exactly a compliment. It was often used for the player who blew it at the worst possible moment and helped sink their team. Things shifted in 1992 when Lonnie Ali founded Greatest of All Time Incorporated (GOAT Inc) to license Muhammad Ali’s intellectual property. Then, in 2000, LL Cool J released an album called G.O.A.T., drawing inspiration from the boxing icon. The phrase became even more mainstream after NFL star Tom Brady appeared in GQ holding a baby goat, and eventually the term earned a place in the Merriam Webster dictionary.
Which brings us to The G.O.A.T by Blueprint Gaming—and no, it isn’t a sports slot. Instead, The G.O.A.T mixes flashy wealth imagery with snow-covered scenery and, naturally, goats. Well, one goat in particular, who shows up in multiple forms on the reels and seems to own the whole place. The giveaway is the huge “G” stamped on the roof of his chalet, visible on the left side of the screen. Beyond that, you’re looking out over a wintry mountainside as snow drifts down and blankets the trees. It’s an odd combination, but The G.O.A.T has enough attitude and solid mechanics to pull it together.
There’s also a noticeable Big Time Gaming-style vibe here, helped by the grid setup: 6 reels with 4 symbols on each, plus an upper bonus reel featuring 4 silver or gold multiplier symbols. Unlike Megaways, the reel heights never vary, meaning you always play with a fixed 4,096 ways to win. With medium to high volatile gameplay, it runs smoothly on any device, and bets can be set from 10 p/c to $/€100.
Wins land when at least three matching symbols connect on adjacent reels starting from the left, and there are ten paying symbols in total. The first six are 9-A card ranks, returning 0.4-0.8x the bet for six of a kind. The four premium icons are gold watches, sports cars, jet planes, and the goat as the highest payer. Hitting six premium symbols across a full way pays between 1 to 10 times your stake. Rounding out the regular symbols is the regular wild, which substitutes for any standard pay symbol to help form winning combinations.
The G.O.A.T: Slot Features
The G.O.A.T packs in plenty to do, with The G.O.A.T Symbol, three special symbols, a Bonus Activation collection mechanic, a bonus gamble option, and two different free spins rounds to pick from.
The G.O.A.T Symbol
The G.O.A.T symbol can land on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5 and uncovers either X Wilds, X Wins, or Diamond symbols. Whatever appears receives the multiplier value above these symbols from the top reel. On the main reels, X Wilds expand into full reel multiplier wilds, while X Wins multiply any wins in view. Meanwhile, the value attached to any Diamonds is added to the Bonus collection meter.
Bonus Activation
Collecting 100 or more Diamond symbol values lets players pick one of 2 bonus games, each awarding 10 free spins. Before the meter is completed, though, hitting certain collection points gives players the chance to gamble their current progress. Winning the gamble triggers free spins; losing it resets the meter back to zero. The two bonus games available are:
- X Wild Free Spins – If the golden X Wild symbol appears in this mode, it expands to cover the whole reel and is locked in place for the rest of the free spins. Every golden X Wild revealed also grants +1 extra spin. Free spins can be retriggered by filling the diamond meter.
- X Wins Free Spins – In this feature, revealed X Wins symbols multiply any wins on screen and add their value to a global win multiplier for the remainder of the feature. Any golden X Win symbol that lands awards +1 spin, and the bonus is retriggered when the Diamond meter is filled.
G.O.A.T Bet
Availability depends on jurisdiction, but where offered, players get two wagering choices. Turning on the Increased G.O.A.T Chance option increases the stake by 25% and also increasing the chance of hitting G.O.A.T symbols. The other option is to buy free spins. The cost of doing so depends on how many Diamonds have been collected in the meter. With an empty meter, the price to fill it is 81x the base bet.
The G.O.A.T: Slot Verdict
The G.O.A.T felt a bit like spinning Relax Gaming’s Iron Bank and, by extension, Beast Mode, though it leans less into the latter. That’s largely down to the bright, characterful goat and the pile of features Blueprint Gaming has built around him. More broadly, it also seems like Blueprint may be shifting gears lately, or at least experimenting with a more modern approach. The G.O.A.T and the title before it, Viking Fall, both show the studio stepping away from the more familiar Blueprint formula. That said, Viking Fall was a pretty clear lift from ELK’s Gold series—but change often comes in small steps.
The G.O.A.T, however, feels much more like its own creation—and it’s a genuinely fun one. There’s a Megaways-style energy to it, but it comes across more as a progression of the idea than a straight copy. The feature set is well judged, the Diamond collection meter gives you a clear target to chase, and The G.O.A.T symbol helps keep the base game engaging. Even more so in theory if you’re happy to pay a little extra per spin using the G.O.A.T Chance. And if you’d rather skip the grind, the free spins buy option is priced fairly. Both bonus rounds bring something worthwhile: the X Win multiplier can build to big levels, and the sticky wild multiplier—while uncommon—can be a real boost. Maximum wins are capped at $250,000 or 50,000x the bet (whichever comes first). You can probably rule out anything close to 50,000x, but the toolkit here is capable of delivering strong results.
The G.O.A.T may not truly be the GOAT, but it has a lot going for it. Between the engaging feature flow and the bold, alpha-goat character in designer, lederhosen-style gear, it has a distinctive charm that makes it an easy slot to enjoy.
