Temple of Wealth: Overview
There’s an old saying that good things come in threes, and Play’n GO seems determined to back it up. Temple of Wealth is one of three entries in the studio’s set of progressive jackpot slots, alongside Celebration of Wealth and Beast of Wealth, all wrapped in a distinctly Asian theme. Why a trio? That part isn’t entirely obvious, but anyone chasing jackpots is unlikely to mind having more options. The setup mirrors the other two: a simple base game supported by two features – free spins and, naturally, jackpots.
If you enjoy Asian-themed slots, this one will feel right at home. It’s as if Play’n GO emptied a souvenir store straight into the design. Temple of Wealth leans hard into tradition, packed with green, red, and gold tones, cheerful deities, and jumping fish statues – a full-on Chinese buffet of familiar imagery. That’s also why it may be the most divisive of the three: you’ll either love the style or find the clichés a bit too much. Still, the presentation is polished. The 5-reel, 243 win ways grid sits inside the temple itself, framed by sturdy pillars glowing in warm golden light.
Temple of Wealth can be played on any device, with stakes from 10 p/c to $/€100 per spin. From each bet, 1.5% is taken to help build the jackpot. When choosing your stake, remember that higher wagers improve the odds of activating the jackpot feature.
On the maths side, Temple of Wealth is closest to Celebration of Wealth. Both share the same return to player of 96.2%, along with a fairly high volatile model rated 8/10. As with the others, the RTP can vary, so it’s worth checking you’re playing the best available version before you start the hunt.
The paytable contains ten symbols – 5 lower-paying royals and 5 higher-paying premiums. The premium set includes coins, a sycee, a golden fish, a Fu baby, and the smiling Caishen, paying between 2 and 10 times the stake for five of a kind. The enigmatic red door acts as the wild, showing up anywhere to replace all symbols except the scatter.
Temple of Wealth: Features

Just like the two earlier progressives, Temple of Wealth comes with two main features to learn. The first is a triggered set of free spins; the second is the marquee progressive jackpot feature.
The neatly balanced Yin & Yang icon is the scatter, and it can land on any reel – 3, 4 of 5 of them on screen pay 5, 10, or 50 times the stake while also triggering free spins. As before, players choose how the bonus plays out, but this time there are 6 options to consider. Each choice sets both the number of spins awarded and the number of mystery symbols added to the reels. The options are 8, 10, 12 15, or 20 free spins with 48, 38, 28, 18, or 8 mystery symbols respectively.
The design clearly leans into the number 8, which, as you’ll know if you’ve seen a few Asian slot reviews, is considered the luckiest number in Chinese culture, tied to fortune, status, wealth, and more. The 6th option is a lucky dip that assigns a random number of spins and mystery symbols from the same pool.
When mystery symbols land, they remain stuck on the reels and shift 1 position up or down between spins. Over time, they expand to cover the entire reel before vanishing. All mystery symbols visible transform into the same pay symbol before wins are calculated.
In contrast to the previous two games in the series, extra free spins can’t be retriggered. That may actually be beneficial, because the next feature, the jackpot, is only available from a paid spin. At any point in the base game, between 1 and 5 reels may randomly turn into Gold Reels. If a wild lands on a Gold Reel, the progressive jackpot feature is triggered and players are guaranteed to take at least one prize.
During this feature, 12 coins fill the screen in a 4×3 layout. Players select them one at a time until three matching jackpot animal symbols appear. The animals are turtles, phoenixes, tigers, or dragons, linked to the Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand jackpot.
Temple of Wealth: Verdict
That wraps up Play’n GO’s trio of Asian themed progressive jackpots. The differences between them aren’t huge, but there’s enough variation in visuals and bonus mechanics to give each its own identity. The maths models are broadly alike, and the main objective across all three is chasing the Grand jackpot. Without the progressive element attached, none would be especially compelling unless the theme really appeals to you.
Even so, the games are solidly produced, and the free spins round can deliver excitement on its own. Those thrills can be profitable too, since wins up to 5,000 times the stake are possible. In Temple of Wealth, free spins can’t be retriggered, so you’ll want those sticky mystery symbols to land in heavy clusters to maximise the potential. Mystery symbols show up in plenty of slots, but the sticky, spreading behaviour adds a nice twist.
In short, Temple of Wealth feels like the most purpose-built entry in the jackpot trio, aimed squarely at players who enjoy this particular aesthetic. Like the other two, it’s not overflowing with originality, but as a well-crafted jackpot slot with respectable features and potential, it remains a worthwhile choice.
