Temple of Paw: Slot Overview
Swedish studio Quickspin has long had a habit of taking players on virtual trips to Asia for the themes of many of its slots. Those excursions have often paid off, with earlier titles like Eastern Emeralds (including a Megaways version), Sakura Fortune and Sakura Fortune 2. Now it’s time to head back with a game called Temple of Paw. Here’s how Quickspin sets the scene: ‘Deep in the heart of the Asian mountain ranges, at the top of the stairs of the Temple of Paw sits your symbol of luck and fortune, the Maneki cat, Miso.’
There’s a bit to take from that intro. Temple of Paw unfolds in a cat-centric setting, with feline statues decorating the backdrop, and a waving maneki-neko cat featured on the scatter symbol—presumably Miso. The 5×3, 20-payline grid sits inside a pagoda-like structure, overlooking a neat garden where a water feature fills much of the scenery, although the promised ‘Asian mountain ranges’ don’t really show up. It may not be Quickspin’s most eye-catching Asian-themed slot, but Temple of Paw has a balanced, cohesive look that’s easy to take in.

Even if the theme leans into calm and serenity, Temple of Paw is actually a highly volatile slot, offered with multiple RTP configurations. The standard RTP sits at 96.01%, and the return is split fairly evenly between the base game and the free spins round. Stakes run from a minimum of 20 c up to $/€100, and there’s also a free spins bonus buy option.
The paytable is heavy on green, with low-value clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades paying 1.25 to 5 times the bet for landing five of a kind. Above those come the premium symbols—good luck knots, red envelopes, 3 coins, and a coin purse—delivering 10 to 75 times the bet. Temple of Paw’s wild substitutes for every symbol except the Cat scatter. Wilds can appear on any reel, allowing them to form their own wins up to 125x the bet for a 5 wild combination.
Temple of Paw: Slot Features

In Temple of Paw, wins can be enhanced through tumbles and a rising multiplier that applies both in the base game and in the Pawsperity Free Spins Bonus. Free spins may be triggered in normal play or purchased directly.
Cascaeds & Multiplier
As the reels resolve, winning symbols are removed, and new symbols fall in from above to fill the gaps. If the drop creates another win, the cascade continues again. In the Temple base game, the win multiplier increases by +1 with each winning tumble. In the base game, the multiplier resets for every new spin.
Pawsperity Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols awards 7, 10, 15, or 22 Pawsperity Free Spins, respectively. Before the Pawsperity Free Spins start, players can gamble their winnings for a chance to gain an extra scatter via a segmented wheel. The gamble can be repeated until either all 6 scatters are collected or the full free spins win is lost. Players can also ignore the gamble and simply collect and play the awarded free spins.
Once inside the bonus, the multiplier increases by +1 for each winning symbol that is removed. The multiplier does not reset between free spins. The feature can retrigger by hitting 3, 4, or 5 scatters, granting an extra +3, +5, or +7 free spins, respectively.
Buy Feature
By spending 100 times the bet, players can purchase Pawsperity Free Spins. The buy activates the feature with 3+ scatter symbols, and the bonus plays out the same way as a standard trigger.

Temple of Paw: Slot Verdict
Quickspin isn’t a developer you can accuse of churning out a new slot every couple of days. They seem to prefer taking the time to polish things. That’s worth noting because it felt like a long gap since the last Quickspin title we covered, which was, *checks notes, Cash Truck 3 Turbo. Yep—about as different as it gets, and without meaning to be harsh, Temple of Paw delivered only a small portion of the impact that its feature-packed, road-trip hold ‘n win, Money Train-style challenger did.
Part of that comes down to presentation: Temple of Paw looks a touch understated—nice, but not especially bold. The audio, however, is another matter, and the soundtrack deserves a callout. It drifts along calmly like running water, then suddenly ramps up into intense, theatrical moments, as if a full orchestra and choir have kicked into top gear. In terms of how it plays, the experience was solid but not standout. The base game feels fairly standard, while the free spins are lifted by the multiplier increasing by +1 for each winning symbol rather than per tumble, similar to what happens in ELK Studios’ slot Propaganda, which Temple of Paw brought to mind. Also, the multiplier doesn’t reset between free spins, which is always a plus. During testing, the multiplier reached respectable levels, and retriggers came around without too much trouble. Still, bigger hits were often hard to come by, and one apparent reason was how tricky it could be to land winning combinations with the premium symbols.
With a top payout of 7,333.95x the bet, and imagining a strong premium line pairing with a hefty multiplier, Temple of Paw clearly has the potential to deliver some heart-racing moments. Even so, compared with Quickspin’s earlier Asian-themed catalogue, Temple of Paw ultimately felt a little middle-of-the-road.
