Sweet Success Megaways (Blueprint Gaming): Overview
Think back to childhood, staring at rows of sweets and trying to figure out how to get the most treats possible with the small amount of pocket money you had. As an adult, Sweet Success Megaways offers a similar kind of choice-driven excitement through its feature set. Sharp-eyed players will notice that Sweet Success Megaways has a lot in common with Deal or No Deal Megaways – a slot largely targeted at the UK market (and other English speaking nations). It clearly performed well enough that Blueprint decided to repackage the same style for a broader audience. This time, they’ve wrapped it all in a candy-coated theme. Does it deliver the same impact?
Visually, the two games are worlds apart. The tense game-show vibe is replaced by a bright, colourful land of sugary treats. Megaways supplies 6 reels with up to 7 symbols per reel, creating 117,649 maximum win ways. The presentation is upbeat and cheerful, and the early pace feels a touch less intense than DOND. That said, it doesn’t take long before things ramp up, and both titles can be equally thrilling. Bets begin at 20 c/p per spin and go as high as $/€10. Notably, the RTP is improved compared to last time at 96.06%, and both games sit in the medium/high volatility range.
Cascading wins return, allowing one spin to potentially trigger multiple rounds of wins. Winning symbols disappear and new ones drop down to fill the spaces, keeping the action moving. The paytable is exactly what you’d expect for the theme. From low to high, it starts with 9 – A royals, then moves to green, blue, and red sweets. Because of the cascade mechanic, payouts are modest, and you’ll need three or more matching symbols to win. The one exception is the Logo symbol, which pays from just 2 of a kind and reaches 50 times the stake for six of a kind.
Sweet Success Megaways (Blueprint Gaming): Features

Just like its predecessor, there’s a hefty set of features to get to grips with. First is the wild, which appears on the row above the main reels. It can substitute for any standard paying symbol. After that comes the Super Sweet icon, acting as the Mystery Symbol, and it can land on any reel. When Mystery Symbols appear, they all change into the same symbol, which can be anything except the wild or the scatter.
As in DOND, the cascading mechanic doesn’t only build wins – it’s also the route into the bonus. Consecutive cascades fill a meter on the left of the reels, and the number achieved determines what triggers:
- 4 consecutive cascades activates the Pick’N’Mix feature.
- 5 consecutive cascades activates the Super Pick’N’Mix feature.
- 6 or more consecutive cascades activates the Mega Pick’N’Mix feature.
The key difference between the standard, Super, and Mega Pick ‘N’ Mix features is simply that the prizes become more valuable. Once activated, the game moves to a new screen showing cash prizes down the left side, free spin amounts on the right, and one unopened sweet positioned at the bottom. The centre fills with sweets, and players choose a set number of them one by one. Each selected sweet bursts to reveal a value, which is then removed from the free spins and cash prize lists. A ‘banker’ then makes a cash offer that players can ‘pick’ to take, or ‘mix’ to decline and keep selecting. If the player chooses to ‘pick’ the offer, the Bonus Train may randomly appear and add 5 free spins on top of the cash prize.
The Pick’N’Mix sequence carries on until the player accepts an offer or until only one sweet remains. At that point, the final decision is whether to open the last remaining sweet or the original sweet from the start of the round. The outcome can be a cash prize or free spins, which then begin immediately.
The Free Spins round is fairly straightforward and includes an Unlimited Win Multiplier that rises by +1 with every cascade. There’s also a significantly higher chance of hitting Mystery Symbols, which are added onto the reels. Bonus symbols keep landing too, and 4 or 5 of them award 5 or 10 extra free spins.
Sweet Success Megaways (Blueprint Gaming): Verdict
Sweet Success Megaways is a fairly typical Megaways release from Blueprint Gaming, and it doesn’t bring many unexpected twists. It’s also hard to ignore that it’s essentially a reskin, which may leave some players underwhelmed. Still, it’s not a poor slot by any means. The steady stream of extras means there’s usually something going on, or about to kick off. While the structure arguably suited DOND best, it translates surprisingly well to the sweets theme too.
The picking feature stands out as especially enjoyable, offering a satisfyingly long sequence that can lead to solid cash rewards or a healthy batch of free spins. The real aim in Sweet Success Megaways is, naturally, to get that unlimited multiplier climbing while cascades keep chaining together. When it all lines up, the wins can be very rewarding. As with DOND, the ceiling is substantial, with single-session wins capped at 10,000 times the stake or $250,000, whichever comes first.
Sure, copying games can feel like a low-effort move that plenty of players dislike, but given how culturally specific DOND is, it’s understandable that Blueprint would offer a more universal version for players who don’t have any attachment to the TV show.
