Super Wild Megaways (Stakelogic): Overview
Trying to locate Stakelogic’s original Super Wild slot is easier said than done. Type the words ‘Super’ and ‘Wild’ into Google and you’ll quickly end up lost in a sea of fruit-themed results. Those two terms have been paired with countless slots over the years. Even digging through Stakelogic’s own back catalogue doesn’t make it much clearer. Maybe it fell into a gap during the Flash-to-HTML transition? Maybe it never properly made it online in the first place? Either way, what matters here is that Super Wild Megaways is a full-on retro rework, now powered by Megaways to bring it up to date.
Even among Megaways titles, Super Wild Megaways isn’t without rivals. Red Tiger has released a couple in a similar space, with mixed outcomes. From those, Mystery Reels Megaways is probably the closest in terms of look and feel, although all three differ quite a bit once you get into the mechanics and features. Stakelogic’s intent is clear: Super Wild is presented like a real cabinet machine, complete with plain white reels, classic symbols, and a hazy background that suggests an actual gaming hall. Put simply, it’s aiming for that casino-in-your-pocket vibe, which could suit older-school players when the mood is right.
Megaways delivers 6 reels with up to 7 symbols per reel, plus a 1×4 extra reel positioned above. The number of win ways changes dramatically depending on reel height, ranging from 324 up to 117,649 at maximum. A display in the top-left shows the current win ways, while the top-right shows wins using a retro digital-watch style font. The bottom menu bar also leans into the physical-machine feel and is where bets are chosen – depending on the operator, that might be 20 p/c – $/€20, or it could be 20 p/c up to $/€40 a spin. Everything else stays consistent across operators, meaning an RTP of 96.07% and a fairly high volatility rating of 4/5. In fact, there is one element operators can control: the Bonus buy feature, which varies by market territory.
The symbol set is almost entirely fruit-based. They appear a little rough around the edges, though that seems intentional to match the throwback style. From lowest to highest value you’ll see cherries, lemons, oranges, pears, plums, bells, strawberries, grapes, and watermelons – basically a full fruit bowl. The lucky ‘7’ is the top-paying symbol, awarding 50 times the stake for six of a kind. The gold-and-blue star acts as the wild, substituting for any symbol except scatters.
Super Wild Megaways (Stakelogic): Features

Alongside the expanding reels and shifting win ways, Megaways also includes the Cascade feature. Winning symbols are removed so new ones can drop into place. This can create fresh winning combinations, and the process continues to cascade as long as new wins keep forming.
As in the original Super Wild, the crown icon serves as the Scatter Mystery Symbol – landing 3 or more on the reels awards Scatter Mystery Prizes. In the base game, the results are:
- 3 scatters award a mystery prize of 2 – 50 coins.
- 4 scatters award a mystery prize of 4 – 100 coins.
- 5 scatters award a mystery prize of 10 – 200 coins.
- 6+ scatters award a mystery prize of 40 – 500 coins.
In the bonus game, 3, 4, 5, or 6+ scatters instead pay fixed amounts of 10, 25, 50, or 200 coins respectively.
The last special symbol is the ‘SW’, which is the Scatter Free Spins symbol. When 4 or more appear, they activate the Free Spins feature, and every extra SW symbol visible adds 5 more free spins. During free spins, a win multiplier begins at x1 and increases by +1 after each cascade. It doesn’t reset between spins, instead carrying over at its current level. SW scatters can still land on the bonus reel, and three or more will add extra free spins to the round. The crown Scatter Mystery Symbol also shows up in free spins and always pays the maximum prize when 3 or more land. On top of that, the free spins multiplier is applied to the mystery prize value as well, boosting the potential returns.
For anyone who likes extra chances to push their luck, there’s the Gamble feature. It appears after a win and lets players go double-or-nothing by flipping a coin.
Lastly, depending on the operator and region, players may be able to purchase the feature rather than waiting for it to trigger naturally. There are 4 choices:
- 5 free spins for 25x the stake.
- 8 free spins for 50x the stake.
- 10 free spins for 75x the stake.
- 12 free spins for 100x the stake.
Super Wild Megaways (Stakelogic): Verdict
Stakelogic’s approach to visuals and overall mood lands nicely. The Megaways reels sit convincingly within the cabinet-style layout, and it manages to build a decent dose of atmosphere along the way. If you’re craving that fruit-slot, live-floor feel without stepping outside, it could hit the spot. Feature-wise, Super Wild Megaways isn’t overflowing with surprises, but what’s included does the job well, and keeping the crown symbol concept is a welcome nod to the original. Even the feature buy options feel fairly priced compared to some of the steep costs seen elsewhere.
So the presentation works, but what about the potential? It’s actually impressive, with a top win of up to 24,635 times the stake. If you can land plenty of mystery symbols during the bonus round while building a strong win multiplier, the payouts can add up nicely. As expected, the biggest moments tend to come in the bonus round, which makes that feature buy option particularly tempting.
It may rely on a Megaways license, but Stakelogic’s Super Wild slot turns out to be a solid entry. Naturally, if fruit slots aren’t your thing, it won’t change your mind. But if you want a throwback-style spin with a well-executed live-cabinet presentation, it’s worth a look.
