Super Dice Megaways: Slot Overview
The question of who invented dice—and where—still gets argued, with the ancient Greeks, Chinese, and Mesopotamians all in the running. Safer to say they’ve been around for ages, and wagering with them is likely just as old. Dice symbols are nothing new on slot reels, but Super Dice Megaways looks like the first to lean this heavily into the Megaways game engine. Even with the slightly fresher theme, Stakelogic has largely mirrored one of its earlier titles, Super Wild Megaways, simply replacing the fruit icons with dice.
Super Dice Megaways continues the “physical slot” style that’s become familiar across several Stakelogic releases. The reels sit front and centre in a land-based casino setting, with rows of other machines blurred out behind. It’s a perfectly serviceable backdrop, though it loses some punch because this kind of fruit-slot casino scene is fairly common. Stakelogic commits to the retro vibe too, pairing the cabinet look with old-school arcade-style sound effects as symbols drop and wins land. It’s a decent presentation overall, but it doesn’t quite match ReelPlay’s Joker Super Reels if you’re chasing the most convincing realism.
You can play on any device, with stakes ranging from 20 p/c to $/€40 per spin. The RTP is a solid 96.06%, and volatility sits in the medium/high range. Stakelogic sticks to a classic Megaways format: 6 main reels with 2-7 symbols on each, plus a 4 position reel running horizontally across the top. Because the reel heights change every spin, the number of ways changes too, reaching 117,649 at the most. The paytable talks up the number of ways, but this is the standard top-end figure you’ll see in many Megaways titles.
Wins are formed by landing matching symbols from the leftmost reel onward, in any position. All symbols require three of a kind to pay, except the top premium, which only needs two of a kind. The regular set is entirely dice-themed: standard 1–6 pip dice for the lower payouts, then 3, 4, 5 and 6 shown as Chinese characters for the premium symbols. Premium payouts begin at 2 times the bet and climb to 50x for the best result. A wild cube (also a die) substitutes for everything except the two scatters – Mystery and Free Spins.
Super Dice Megaways: Slot Features

A cascade mechanism drives the action here, as you’d expect from many Megaways slots—every win triggers a cascade that removes the winning symbols from the grid. The remaining symbols drop into the gaps, and fresh ones fall in from above to fill the board. This can produce several wins from a single paid spin, as cascades keep going for as long as new winning combinations appear.
The blue-and-gold question mark (?) is the Scatter Mystery Symbol, and it can land on any reel. In the base game, landing 3 or more awards prizes as follows:
- 3 scatters award a mystery prize of 2x – 50x the bet.
- 4 scatters award a mystery prize of 4x – 100x the bet.
- 5 scatters award a mystery prize of 10x – 200x the bet.
- 6+ scatters award a mystery prize of 40x – 500x the bet.
Then there are free spins, which start when 4 or more scatter symbols are showing at the end of a cascade chain. You receive 12 free spins, plus 5 extra spins for every additional scatter on the reels. During the feature, landing 3 or 4 scatter symbols adds 5 or 10 free spins to your total, respectively.
While free spins are running, a win multiplier is active, starting at x1. Each cascade increases the multiplier level by +1. Another rule in free spins is that Scatter Mystery Symbol rewards become fixed. That means 3, 4, 5, or 6+ on the grid will always pay 10x, 25x, 50x, or 200x the bet respectively.
The final feature is the gamble option, a familiar inclusion in Stakelogic slots. It can be used after base game wins and, depending on how much you’ve won, sometimes after free spins too. Choose ‘Collect’ to secure the payout, or press ‘Gamble’ to risk it. You then pick heads or tails to try to double your winnings—or lose them—up to 5 times, or until the win cap is hit. If you’d rather avoid it entirely, the feature can be switched off.
Super Dice Megaways: Slot Verdict
In brief, Super Dice Megaways is essentially Super Wild Megaways with dice in place of fruit. The stats and features are largely identical, although Super Dice may not attract as wide an audience as the fruit-heavy Super Wild.
Plenty here will either grate on you or keep you entertained. The first is the visual style, which does a decent job if you enjoy the cabinet-simulator feel. Many of Stakelogic’s retro-themed slots share this same presentation—you’ll either be into it or you won’t—with Runner Runner Megaways as another example. The 8-bit audio falls into the same love-it-or-hate-it category: either a fun throwback or a rough, simplistic annoyance. And with dice dominating the reels, the lack of symbol variety can start to wear thin.
Gameplay-wise, it can feel a bit flat—and even discouraging—if the theme doesn’t click. Mystery Scatter Symbols do appear now and then with a payout, but free spins are even rarer. So most of the time you’re watching dice (in two styles) flicker and beep through mostly smaller wins. Yes, the dice differ in pips and colours, but they still blend together. It can end up feeling like you’re just watching a pile of cubes—which, in fairness, you are. Bigger numbers mean bigger wins, yet the symbols can start to look interchangeable unless you’re actively tracking what’s paying.
For what it aims to be—a classic-looking dice slot built on the Megaways engine—Super Dice Megaways is about as strong as it gets. It’s also a very narrow niche, and there aren’t many games sitting in it. If that combination sounds like your thing, you may be impressed; if not, it’s likely to feel far less tempting.
