Along with a tweak or two to the features, Spin Spin Sugar is far more volatile than Jade Shuriken and offers double the potential, which is a curious contrast given Jade Shuriken was built around high-energy warrior combat.

Visually, though, Jade Shuriken left a stronger impression, thanks to its slick animated cartoon presentation and a more original overall identity. Spin Spin Sugar, in comparison, feels more—how to say it—everyday. Candy slots are everywhere, and this one doesn’t go out of its way to separate itself from the crowd.

Still, it doesn’t do anything objectionable either, and it ties its free spins round neatly into the widely used bonus symbol/cash prize ladder mechanic. Add in the free spins line multiplier, adjustable bonus symbol density, plus the Link&Win angle on the cash ladder feature, and there should be enough here to keep sweet-toothed players entertained.
