Seven 7’s (Crazy Tooth Studio): Overview
If you prefer your slots quick and straightforward, Crazy Tooth Studio’s newest release could be right up your street. As we noted in our review of The Incredible Balloon Machine, this is a developer that isn’t shy about making the “unique, innovative” games they talk about. Plenty of studios make that claim, but Crazy Tooth Studio often backs it up. This time, at least, we’re dealing with actual reels. These Crazy Tooth folks clearly enjoy pushing boundaries and trying fresh ideas. Of course, pioneers can end up too far ahead of everyone else, waiting for players to catch on—if the concept doesn’t simply fall flat. So where does Seven 7’s land? Let’s dive in.
Visually, it’s undeniably polished. Theme-wise, you’ll hear mentions of ocean, nautical, pirates, sailing, and mermaids. Themes are in the eye of the beholder, though, and it didn’t quite come across that way to us. Instead, it feels more like an old grand theater—curtains and rigging, ropes, chrome, and bronze. There’s an intriguing 19th-century flavor, like a vintage traveling show where onlookers paid a penny to see what was behind the curtain. What the player sees first is one—yes, one—reel featuring a single oversized symbol. Below that sits the jackpot, with its value tied to your stake. The bet panel is positioned to the side, letting players choose stakes from 20 p/c to $/€10 per spin. Auto spins are available, as are turbo spins. The interface is compact and low-key, keeping attention on the main attraction: the steampunk-leaning visuals and mood.
The paytable is as minimal as it gets. Only three symbols appear: a Bar, a 2x, and the ‘7’. The Bar effectively acts as filler, creating non-winning spins. The 7 is the headline act, and landing two or more pays out. The 2x symbol substitutes for the 7 and also doubles the win. That’s the whole deal—press spin and let it run. Volatility is appropriately high thanks to the jackpot potential, and the RTP sits at a solid 96.6%. With so few moving parts, boredom could set in fast, but a 20.83% hit rate helps provide enough regular wins to keep things ticking over. Since there are no real extra features, the game leans hard on presentation, atmosphere, and hit frequency to maintain interest.
Seven 7’s (Crazy Tooth Studio): Features

The heart of the game—really, the only rule—is landing 7 symbols in succession. The mechanic is called the Continuwin and it works as follows; When a 7 appears, an additional reel is added and a re-spin is triggered. If another 7 lands, another reel is added. This continues until a spin fails to land a 7, or until you reach seven 7’s, which awards the jackpot. Payouts are as follows:
- 2 of a kind pays 2x the stake.
- 3 of a kind pays 10x the stake.
- 4 of a kind pays 25x the stake.
- 5 of a kind pays 75x the stake.
- 6 of a kind pays 250x the stake.
- 7 of a kind pays the 25,000x jackpot.
After any win is paid, the game drops back down to a single reel. The only additional twist is the 2x symbol, known as the Wild Multiplier. When it lands, it replaces a 7 and also doubles the possible winnings. Multiple 2x symbols can appear within a sequence, doubling the prize again each time. It can only land on reels 2, 3, 5, and 6, and it does not boost the jackpot value.
Seven 7’s (Crazy Tooth Studio): Verdict
Seven 7’s is yet another offbeat experiment from Crazy Tooth Studio, and it’s the kind of slot you really need to try yourself. It’s so unusual that it’s hard to know whether the format will click for you without hands-on play. The initial impact is pretty startling: one reel, one symbol, and one payline on display. The strong visuals do a lot of the early work, with attractive graphics, zoom effects, and a distinctive atmosphere. Land a few quick hits and you may be tempted to keep going to see how far the chain can be pushed. Seven 7’s depends heavily on speed to hook players, because there’s very little else here—no bonus round to chase, just Bars, 7’s, and 2x symbols.
That means it’s unlikely to become a long-term go-to for most players, though it can be fun in short bursts. The stripped-back design may suit instant-gratification types who want something intense and rapid-fire. Between the volatility and the respectable jackpot, there’s definitely upside. Crazy Tooth Studio estimates that 7 of a kind will land and trigger the 25,000 times the stake jackpot roughly once every 1 million spins. Compared to what some other slots demand to reach their maximum potential, that’s a fairly acceptable number.
Even so, after a decent session, there wasn’t much pull to return for another run. There simply isn’t enough variety to keep calling you back. Still, it’s noticeably more compelling than The Incredible Balloon Machine and marks a meaningful step forward for the studio. This time it actually feels like you’re playing a slot, rather than inflating balloons and waiting for them to burst. If you ever find yourself in a mood where even a 3×3 fruit slot feels like too much effort, Seven 7’s could be exactly what you want. It doesn’t get much more lean and no-frills than this.
