Sausage Party Slot: Overview

Anyone who loves feature-packed slots (or, indeed, sausages) will find plenty to enjoy in Sausage Party from Blueprint Gaming. It’s stuffed to the brim with bonus rounds, modifiers, and all the processed-meat chaos you’d expect. Fans of adult animation will spot the connection immediately, but for everyone else: Sausage Party is a branded slot based on the film of the same name. A bit of a cult success, Sausage Party is the highest-grossing R rated animated movie ever, even beating South Park at the box office. Given how oddball the film is, it makes sense the slot adaptation would be just as weird. Blueprint clearly leaned into that and went all-in to recreate the movie’s vibe.

At first, the insanity isn’t obvious. After a friendly animated intro, players are met with a fairly standard-looking setup featuring 5 reels and 3 rows. The action takes place in the Shopwell supermarket and is packed with characters, animations, and cutscenes lifted directly from the film. If you’re a fan, it’ll feel familiar straight away; if you aren’t, you may be wondering what on earth is happening. Still, even if it all seems a bit bonkers, Sausage Party can be a blast. Blueprint has squeezed as much as possible from the movie and crammed it into this slot like a sausage that’s been filled to bursting.

Despite the wild theme, the core gameplay stays easy to follow. Wins are formed by landing groups of three or more matching symbols on any of the 20 fixed paylines. The symbols are large and cartoony, and the J-A royals use a palette that feels similar to the one seen in The Goonies. Premium icons are mostly food characters from the film, including Sammy Bagel Jr, Lavash, Brenda, and Frank. The best-paying regular symbol is the Logo, where five of a kind returns 25 times the stake. Unlike the other symbols, the Logo pays with just two on a payline. The wild symbol matches the Logo’s value and substitutes for all standard symbols except the scatter.

To join the Sausage Party, you’ll need to choose your stake. Bets range from 0.10 c/p per spin at the low end up to 200 €/$ for high rollers. One of the newer additions is the Power Play option. You can switch it on for an extra cost of x1 the bet. When enabled, any win of x5 or more allows players to spin a bottle to gain an extra win multiplier, or potentially even trigger a bonus feature.

Looking at the stats, the game comes with an RTP of 95.95%, which is respectable. This is paired with a medium to high volatility model, fitting well with the huge number of features available.

Sausage Party Slot: Features

Sausage Party is a high-energy title and easily one of Blueprint’s most jam-packed branded slots. In total, it includes 6 features and 6 modifiers, so there’s a lot going on. During any base game spin, The Immortals may trigger randomly and bring one of the following modifiers:

  • Skin on Wilds – Wilds overlay the reels and turn symbols into wilds.
  • Mighty Douche Colossal Reels – While the reels spins, 3 adjacent reels can be combined into one Colossal Reel.
  • Frank’s Hot Dog Wilds – Any of the reels can be stacked with wilds.
  • Touching Tips – Mystery symbols land and display the same chosen symbol in each position.
  • Bath Salts Boost – More positions become available for the Bonus symbol can appear.
  • Keen as F%$*in’ Mustard – A big winning spin is guaranteed to land.

And if that still doesn’t satisfy, 2 more modifiers can trigger after any losing spin. One involves a knife slices across the reels, shuffling symbols into a winning result. The other uses a brush and dustpan that can also rearrange the reels into a win.

On top of that, there are 6 separate bonus games available. With so much to cover, consider this a quick run-through. To activate a bonus, at least 3 scatter symbols must appear anywhere on the reels. When triggered, an animated scene plays from a sausage’s-eye view inside a shopping trolley as the 6 features move overhead before stopping on one. You can then accept the feature or gamble it for a chance to upgrade, just like in many earlier Blueprint titles. The bonuses are:

  • Still Fresh Bonus – Players choose sausages on a shelf to survive the round. If they aren’t removed and do survive, they add a random amount to the win total. This continues until the chosen sausages are dumped in the bin, and the round win is paid out, or they trigger another feature.
  • The (Not So) Great Beyond Bonus – Players pick food items which reveal a Cash value, Double Win or Collect. The game plays out, racking up wins and doubles until the collect is revealed. It is possible to reveal Barry which triggers another feature.
  • Getting Juiced Free Spins – Free spins are awarded, and the game introduces the Douche Special Wild and 4 new character symbols. Whenever the Douche lands, he collects the values from the new 4 symbols. When the free spins are used up, a Super Douche symbol appears on reels 1-4 with reel 5 changed to empty spaces. If the Super Douche lands, then he can award more bonus games, if they land on the fifth reel.
  • Bread Bashing Free Spins – If Bagel and Lavash symbols land at the same time they are turned wild. When the spins run out, jars hover over the screen and players must pick one. Jars can reveal Collect which ends the feature, Extra Spins which adds more spins with Bagel and Lavash always wild. Or, The Greater Beyond can be triggered.
  • Bun in the Oven Free Spins – Free spins are awarded where Frank and Brenda symbols are Wild and 3 positions high. If both types of symbols land at the same time, they create Frenda Wild, which comes with an x2 multiplier. At the end of free spins, players pick an item which can reveal Collect which ends the feature, Retrigger, or trigger The Even Greater Beyond feature.
  • The Even Greater Beyond Bonus – Players rack up total bet multipliers (the top one is a 500x cash prize) until the Stop (X) is landed and the feature comes to an end.

Sausage Party Slot: Verdict

Sausage Party isn’t the kind of branded slot that depends solely on recognising the source material to be entertaining. Continuing Blueprint’s expanding branded lineup—alongside titles like Beavis and Butthead, Mars Attacks!, Thundercats, and The Goonies—this one fully commits to the theme and packs in as much from the film as it can. Surprisingly, it doesn’t feel like too much. The game’s strength comes from the smaller details: side animations, cutscenes, and random features that keep the reels constantly active. Sausage Party gets those little touches right, giving it personality, while its many features deliver the bigger moments.

There’s a reason Sausage Party became such a hit as a movie, and Blueprint has captured its humour effectively. The slot is full of character and charm, with enough entertainment value for both fans of the film and players who’ve never watched it.
