The initial surprise isn’t quite as strong as the first time around, but Royal Potato 2 remains just as imaginative and just as professionally executed.

Anyone who played the original Royal Potato will recognise plenty of returning mechanics and features, now supported by several fresh additions. The upside is that the new content improves the overall ride. One standout is the Potato Sack during free spins, which appears far more often than expected and regularly gets involved with its modifying effects. Another upgrade is the expanded set of feature buys, giving players more ways to approach the game. Although the base RTP is slightly lower than in the original, the RTP values for the feature buys—especially the Spud Spins Bonus—are notably solid. As for what hasn’t changed, it’s still excellent—arguably even better.
