Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe: Slot Overview
Games Global studio Foxium has suited up in a toga once more, heading back to the ancient world for the online slot Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe. As the name suggests, Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe is the deluxe take on Rome Fight For Gold, itself a reskin of Foxium’s The Great Albini 2, which launched in early 2023. In this upgraded edition, some elements are familiar while others have been reworked. Step into the arena with us as we sort out what’s unchanged and what’s been refreshed.
From a visual standpoint, it’s tough to separate the two at a glance. Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe still places you in a prime Colosseum viewpoint, one of the Roman empire’s most iconic venues, watching the action unfold on the sand. With the stands packed full of roaring Romans, walking out there must have been intensely intimidating—whether a fighter chose to be there or not. Think far beyond the nerves of giving a Zoom presentation to half the company. Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe captures a slice of that tension through crisp atmospheric visuals and stirring music. Not quite the real-life level of fear, of course, but it’s undeniably a sharp-looking slot.

On the stats side, this deluxe release brings a few reasons to get excited. For starters, the RTP has been raised, now sitting at a default of 96.37%, with a slight drop to 96.34% when the Boost feature is enabled. With Boost turned off, the stake range runs from 20 c to $/€12.5 per spin, increasing to 30 c to $/€18.75 with Boost active. Boost doesn’t change symbol values, though it does put more Coins on the reels and provides an increased chance of triggering the Gold, Silver, or Bronze bonus game. As previously, the math model is medium volatile.
Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe stages its contest on a 5×4 gaming panel alongside 40 paylines. Wins are formed by 3 to 5 matching symbols and land at a rate of 27.19% on the default RTP setup. Foxium has conveniently given every symbol a name: low pays are ten, jack, queen, king, and ace, followed by shield, helmet, Helena, and Antonius as the 4 high-paying icons. Landing 5 OAK combinations returns 1.5 to 2 times the bet for the royals and 3 to 10 times the bet for the character symbols. Golden ‘W’ wilds can appear on all reels and substitute for all paying symbols. When wilds create a win, a line of 5 pays 25x the stake.
Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe: Slot Features

At its core, Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe keeps many of the same feature ideas, though several have been adjusted. This is how it works.
Coin Symbols
Coins can land on reels 1-4, and whenever a Collect symbol appears on the far-right reel, the value of every Coin currently showing is awarded. Bronze Coins pay 1-5x the bet, Silver Coins return 6-15x the bet, and Gold Coins award 20-50x the bet. On top of that, the Collect symbol will randomly show a multiplier of x1 to x5. That multiplier is then applied to the combined value of the Coins collected from the reels.
Bonus Game
Every Coin that lands is collected into its matching Bronze, Silver, or Gold pot above the reels. Each time a Coin is added, there is a chance a Bonus Game is triggered. The three Bonus games are Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze uses only Bronze Coins, Silver uses Silver Coins only, and Gold uses only Gold Coins. Once triggered, 3 spins are granted, and any new symbol landing resets the spin count. Fresh Coin symbols stick in place when they appear. The Bonus Games also include three special symbols – Antonius, Helena, and a Mystery symbol.
- Antonius Multiplier – carries an x1 to x5 multiplier, which is added to the current multiplier of the Bonus game. Bonus games begin with a multiplier of 1x, which is applied to the total value of Coins. Antonius Multiplier symbols are removed after they land.
- Helena Extra Spin – raises the reset value of the spins by +1. Helena Extra Spins symbols are removed after they hit.
- Mystery Symbols – uncovers Antonius, Helena, or a Coin symbol.
Jackpots
Jackpots are only available in the Bonus games and can be won by landing a certain amount of Coin symbols. For example, landing 10 Coins in any Bonus game awards the 10x the bet Mini Jackpot. Reaching 15 Coins in any Bonus game pays the 50x the bet Major Jackpot, while the 20,000x the bet Grand Jackpot is awarded for landing 20 Coin symbols in any bonus game. The multiplier does not apply to Jackpot wins, and only the highest achieved Jackpot is awarded.

Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe: Slot Verdict
Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe retains most of what the earlier game offered, tweaks a handful of parts, and makes the route to potentially hitting the max win much easier to understand. It’s worth pointing out that Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe and Rome Fight For Gold both share the same top payout – 20,000x the bet. The difference is that this time it’s far clearer how that figure can be achieved. In short: fill the reels with Coin symbols during any one of the bonus rounds, and that’s the top prize. It does raise the question of how realistic the 20,000x the bet was in Rome Fight For Gold. In theory, if you managed 50x Coins in every position while also having an x20 multiplier running in the Bonus game, then yes, that would get there. How likely is that? Perhaps only Foxium truly knows.
Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe removes that uncertainty. It also changes how Bonus rounds are activated and adds three distinct versions of them. The Bonus round scatter symbols have been removed, replaced by random triggers when Coins are collected into pots during the base game. The Gold Bonus is especially appealing in certain respects because Gold Coins carry the highest values. The good news, though, is that the Grand Jackpot can be won in all rounds, meaning there’s still a chance even in the Bronze Bonus game.
Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe came across like a slot shaped with player feedback in mind—almost as if a group of Rome Fight For Gold fans had brought the studio a wish list of improvements. There’s no evidence that happened, but it does feel like a step forward from the original. Not a massive leap, but upgrades such as the higher RTP and a more transparent path to a potential big win are definite positives.
