Robin Hood’s Heroes: Slot Overview
Developer Just For The Win gives players yet another chance to wander the woodland trails with the legendary band of outlaws who take from the rich and hand to the poor. Naturally, that means Robin Hood and his Merry Men (with Maid Marian along for the ride) in the online slot called Robin Hood’s Heroes. Compared to other Robin Hood-themed slots, Robin Hood’s Heroes doesn’t pack in quite as many characters; JFTW may have kept the cast smaller to leave more space for the mechanics. On that note, Robin Hood’s Heroes includes Cash Collect, Cash Grab, Wild Splits, Free Spins, and potentially a buy feature.
Booting up Robin Hood’s Heroes feels like arriving at a medieval feast: musicians belt out a lively tune, dancers keep time, onlookers clap, and the whole scene is in high spirits. The setting sits on the edge of Sherwood Forest with Nottingham Castle looming in the distance (as the tale goes), while a Robin Hood wanted poster flaps nearby, a chest rests on the ground, and the main game grid is positioned front and center.

The grid uses 6-reels, with 4 symbols shown on the two outside reels and 5 symbols on each of the four middle reels, creating a 4-5-5-5-5-4 formation. With a ways mechanic, this layout delivers 10,000 ways to win, paid when matching symbols land on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel, in any row. The game comes in three RTP configurations, with the top option set at 96.05% and the lowest reaching 92.21%. Volatility is high across all three versions, while the hit rate sits between 25.35% to 28.46%, meaning wins land on roughly one out of every four spins. You can join the outlaw action on any device, with wagers ranging from 20 p/c to $/€50 per paid spin.
Heading to the paytable, there are ten standard paying symbols. At the bottom end are four card suit icons—diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades—returning 0.5x the bet for a six-of-a-kind. Above them are mugs, knives, hats, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian, and Robin, which pay 0.8-5 times the stake for six-of-a-kind. In the base game or free spins on reels 2-5, you’ll see wild symbols and Wild Split symbols. Both can replace any regular paying symbol. However, when a Wild Split symbol lands, it is split into 2-5 wilds, boosting the potential ways to win.
Robin Hood’s Heroes: Slot Features

We touched on free spins earlier, and alongside them you’ll also find the Cash Collect and Cash Grab features, plus a Buy feature where it’s offered.
Cash Collects
Money symbols can land on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5 in the base game and during the Cash Grab feature. Each displays a multiplier of the bet. Hitting 3, 4, or 5 Money symbols anywhere in the base game can activate the Cash Collect feature. Once triggered, Cash Collect pays out the total value of all Money symbols in view to the player.
Cash Grab
Landing 6 or more Money symbols in the base game starts the Cash Grab bonus and grants 3 respins. Whenever any symbol lands, the respin counter is reset back to 3. The Money symbols that triggered the feature remain in place, and the bonus plays on a grid where only Money symbols or three Hero symbols can appear—the Adder, Doubler, or Collector. Each Hero symbol has a counter that ticks up by one each spin. When the counter fills, the Hero symbol activates, then the counter returns to zero and may trigger again.
- Adder – when activated, the Adder adds its value to 3-6 other symbols.
- Doubler – when activated, the Doubler doubles 3-6 other symbols.
- Collector – when activated, the Collector sum the values of all other symbols and adds them to itself.
Free Spins
Free Spins scatter symbols show up on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5, and landing 3 or 4 of them in the base game awards 7-15 or 10-20 free spins, respectively. During free spins, landing 2, 3, or 4 free spins symbols grants an additional 2, 4, or 7 free spins, respectively. In free spins, all wild symbols are replaced with Wild Split symbols. Players cannot trigger the Cash Grab from free spins.
Buy Feature
When available, players may purchase the Cash Grab feature in one of three options. The standard Cash Grab costs 53x the bet, while Cash Grab with 2 starting Hero symbols costs 119x the bet, and Cash Grab with four starting Heroes costs 209x the bet. In every case, the feature begins with 6 Money symbols.

Robin Hood’s Heroes: Slot Verdict
It’s no secret there’s a long list of Robin Hood slots out there, and a session with Robin Hood’s Heroes makes it easy to understand the appeal. The classic story has a certain charm, packed with memorable figures, atmospheric locations, and a sense of adventure. With Robin Hood’s Heroes, Just For The Win doesn’t lean too heavily into the narrative, steering clear of the good-versus-bad tension found in titles like iSoftBet’s Sheriff of Nottingham series. Instead, Robin Hood’s Heroes aims for a bright, upbeat tone, and that cheerful vibe drew us in to see what the game had to offer.
From there, things hold up reasonably well. Much like the theme, the features are fairly straightforward—practical, and every so often capable of delivering a fun moment. At the same time, you can spot familiar inspirations throughout, which reduces the sense of impact. Even with the branding, Wild Splits feel lifted from the Nolimit City toolkit, though they can still do work—particularly in free spins, where they’re the only wild type that appears. Then there’s Cash Grab, which gave us a few Money Mariachi flashbacks thanks to the way special symbols fill a counter before their effect goes off. Beyond that, the two bonus rounds play quite differently, and Cash Grab never ran anywhere close to the length that Money Mariachi can reach. For one thing, Cash Grab uses a fixed grid, so no extra reels are introduced, and the maximum win is 5,000x the bet.
On its own, Robin Hood’s Heroes doesn’t introduce a lot that’s truly groundbreaking, but it does combine its parts into a solid overall package. Much of the fun comes from the game’s consistently upbeat feel, while the feature set helps keep play from getting repetitive. Robin Hood fans should find some excitement here, as long as they’re fine with a smaller-than-usual lineup of Merry Men and the absence of a Sheriff villain.
