Although it takes inspiration from Cluedo Mightyways, it’s configured to play in a noticeably different way and could suit players who may not have the patience for the slower build of the Cluedo Mightyways experience.

That’s largely because the Trail starts handing out modifiers from the very first cascade. Yes, the opener is “only” a wild, so it may not transform the round on its own, but you’re not forced to wait until the fifth cascade—as in Cluedo Mightyways—before the extras begin. In several respects, Raiders of Fortune is the more compact title. For example, the grid never approaches the scale of its predecessor—60 max ways to win versus 262,144 being a clear illustration. The potential is also far more grounded, with Raiders of Fortune topping out at 4,493x the bet, compared to the other game’s 50,000x (which we still haven’t seen verified).

Overall, Raiders of Fortune takes the Trailways Trail plus cascades formula and pushes it in a looser direction, effectively making it easier to pick up rewards along the way. Players who like modifiers and prizes to show up frequently may get a kick out of it. Beyond that, the theme feels familiar—though presented well—and the end result isn’t especially striking, leaving Raiders of Fortune more like a stroll through a city park than a hard-earned expedition through dense jungle.
