Quackin’ Reels: Slot Overview
Wolverine, Deadpool, Ironman, Black Widow, Captain America—the Marvel universe is packed with famous heroes, heroines, and villains. Yet a more obscure figure who popped up in Guardians of the Galaxy and even led a self-titled movie back in 1986 is the feathered alien Howard the Duck. Howard hails from Duckworld, a place where anthropomorphic birds dress in suits and ties and generally live much like humans do. Maybe the Relax Gaming crew were leafing through old issues of ‘Adventure into Fear’ or revisiting 80s cinema when the idea clicked, and Quackin’ Reels was born?
Much like Duckworld, players step into a bird-filled setting where everyone’s relaxing—cracking open a few beers, soaking up the sun, and taking it easy. It doesn’t take long to see that Quackin’ Reels is aiming at a tongue-in-cheek snapshot of a slice of American life. Hints include The Stars and Stripes fluttering above a house, a character sporting ‘I ❤ USA’ across his belly, and an American football sitting in the grass at the edge of the screen. Add in plenty of guns, bullets, and booze, and it becomes a kind of “What Europeans think of Americans” tableau—presumably meant in good fun.

Quackin’ Reels is a straightforward, medium volatile 3×3 arranged slot featuring 5 paylines for wins. The default RTP is 96.1%, and you can join the flock with stakes from 10 c to $/€100 per spin. With only 3 OAK wins possible on the Quackin’ Reels grid, there are 6 different pay symbols available: a liquor bottle and cups, a machine gun, a four-wheeler, and 3 character symbols. Payouts for landing a winning combo run from 0.8 to 20 times the bet. Token symbols can also appear, showing values of 1x to 100x the bet. If token symbols land on every spot of a payline, the combined value of that payline is paid out.
Quackin’ Reels: Slot Features

Quackin’ Reels includes two add-ons: a Respins feature, with a Multiplier Respins feature layered on top.
Respins Feature
Hitting a stack of 3 of the same symbol on a reel activates the Respin feature. In the respin round, the triggering symbols—along with any matching symbols—turn sticky and lock in place for the duration of the feature. Respins keep rolling as long as more of the same symbol land on the reels, and any new matching symbols also become sticky. The feature finishes when no new qualifying symbols appear or when the grid is completely filled.
Multiplier Respins Feature
If a Respins feature ends with all positions are filled by the same symbol, the Multiplier Respins feature kicks in. Throughout this mode, multiplier symbols can land on the reels. Each time a new multiplier symbol appears, another respin is granted. Multiplier values range from x1 to x5. When Multiplier Respins concludes, all multipliers are totalled and then applied to the overall win.

Quackin’ Reels: Slot Verdict
When you’re one of the world’s big kahunas—maybe even the big kahuna—someone is bound to take a swipe at you sooner or later. That could help explain why these little “American life” snapshots keep turning up in online slots, including Quackin’ Reels and, in a similar vein, titles like Land of the Free and (at a stretch) The Border. The mix of guns and patriotism is something many Europeans don’t really relate to, which makes it an easy target for parody. Of course, the reverse is just as true: there are plenty of European quirks Americans don’t always understand—smoking, narrow winding streets, paid public toilets, limited AC, and ‘socialised’ health care, for starters. It would honestly be interesting to see an American studio poke fun at Europeans through an online slot too. All in the spirit of friendly banter, which is probably the best way to approach Quackin’ Reels.
So, was Quackin’ Reels enjoyable? In places, yes—it was fine. The “ducks in the USA” angle is a little strange; it’s not outright nasty, but some players may not love the stereotyping. For a Relax Gaming slot, the action is also fairly basic. There isn’t a huge amount going on in Quackin’ Reels, although that’s often the case with a 3×3 slot. Line wins aren’t enormous, so the main focus becomes waiting for stacked identical symbols to drop. Even then, landing a full screen of the top symbol at 100x the bet isn’t exactly heart-thumping, machine-gun-paced excitement. Thankfully, full-screen outcomes lead into the Multiplier Respins stage, where a strong set of multis can still deliver a satisfying moment or two. Clearly, Relax Gaming wasn’t aiming for a flagship title with Quackin’ Reels, but as a humorous 3-reel game with a couple of respectable respin extras, it can still raise a smile.
