Blueprint Gaming clearly can’t get enough of its cheerful Leprechaun. As though Luck O’ The Irish, Irish Frenzy, Wish Upon a Leprechaun, Slots O’Gold, Irish Riches Megaways, and Luck O’ The Irish Megaways weren’t already plenty, the studio is now extending its Irish-themed catalogue again by adding Pots O’ Riches to the lineup. The core gameplay is about as familiar as the setting, but since it’s tied into Blueprint’s Jackpot King network, it’s still worth giving a try.

Created by Blueprint Gaming, Pots O’ Riches is a straightforward 5-reel, 20-payline slot available on all devices, with stakes ranging from 0.20 up to €/$200 per spin. Packed with every Irish cliché in the book, it includes the Rainbow’s End bonus where the leprechaun moves along a multiplier trail. With a bit of luck, you may also enter the Pots O’ Gold bonus, where winnings can reach up to 500 times your stake. On top of that, the base game can award a random cash prize, and there’s also a randomly triggered jackpot game.

In terms of presentation, it largely delivers what you’d expect from an Irish-themed slot, though the animated leprechaun helps it stand out a little. If we’re right, the voice work is the same recording used in Slots O’Gold and likely a few other titles too. We actually found the soundtrack and audio effects stronger than the visuals overall. With a vibrant countryside scene behind the reels and a huge rainbow stretching across the screen, the symbols include 10, J, Q, A and K royals, plus just one premium icon—the Pots O’ Riches symbol. It’s the best-paying regular symbol, awarding 12.5 times your stake for five of a kind, and it can also appear fully stacked on every reel. The Celtic knot acts as the wild, substituting for all standard symbols, and it pays 25 times your stake when you land five across a full payline.

Pots O’ Riches includes three features in total, excluding the Jackpot King game. The first is the Lucky’s Charm feature. It activates when 3 or more leprechaun burrow door scatter symbols land anywhere on the screen. When it triggers, you choose one of the doors, which then reveals a multiplier and a cash reward worth up to 50 times your stake.

Next up is the Rainbow’s End bonus, which starts when 3 or more leprechaun scatters appear anywhere on the reels. After activation, you move to a separate screen featuring a trail with a rising multiplier. You then pick one of three horseshoes to uncover either a random number of steps for the leprechaun to move forward or a collect symbol. If you reach the end of the trail, you’ll unlock the main event, which brings us to…

The Pots O’ Gold bonus can be triggered either by reaching the end of the Rainbow’s End bonus or by landing 3 pots of gold scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 at the same time. In this round, 12 pots with multiplier values of up to 500x spin appear in a circle around the leprechaun. When the pots stop, the randomly selected multiplier is added to your running total shown in the ‘bonus win’ display at the top of the screen. After that, you’re prompted to pick 1 of the 8 clovers on each side of the screen, revealing either “spin” or “collect”. This feature offers a cash prize of up to 500 times your stake.

Pots O’ Riches has a distinctly local flavour that will probably appeal more to UK players than to the wider audience. Even so, while it’s put together competently, it isn’t especially fresh or thrilling, as the potential feels too limited and many of the features are familiar from other Blueprint releases. If your main goal is the jackpot game, there are stronger Blueprint options linked to it, such as Slots O’ Gold Megaways (which also features a leprechaun).

That said, Pots O’ Riches is still an undeniably likeable slot, offering steady medium volatility gameplay and a good selection of features to pursue. Whether or not we were impressed, plenty of players will likely have fun with it even if we didn’t.
