Piggy Luck initially came across as colourful and cheerful, but that feeling quickly shifted into frustrated boredom. With a low volatile model and modest bonus payouts, features tended to trigger fairly often, yet they rarely delivered anything meaningful. Sometimes they dragged on without much payoff, too. One free spins session, for instance, retriggered three times, resulting in 60 of the most monotonous free spins we’ve sat through in a while. The final result wasn’t disastrous, but grinding through 60 spins to end up with a 79.6x the bet win felt more like a task than entertainment. Finally, there’s Golden Path, which at least offers a respectable top prize. Still, the numbers don’t quite add up when you look closer. The ladder contains 36 steps, yet adding together all the wheel values gives a total of 21. Maybe building the Golden Path meter in the base game is meant to help you climb further, but that wasn’t how the demo behaved, and by that stage it hardly mattered anyway.
