As with many sequels, Panda Bonanza takes the foundation of the previous game and keeps most of it intact—both in mechanics and overall feel—while layering in a little more. Monkey Bonanza’s core feature set returns: the Banana Bonanza, the Super Monkey Spin, the Piggy Bank & Win, and free spins, albeit with some light adjustments. Several elements have been renamed to match the new star animal. Even if Northern Lights Gaming had stopped there, fans who enjoyed Monkey Bonanza would probably have found it easy to switch over to the panda version. Still, the studio didn’t only reskin the slot; it also added an extra feature or two. The max win, however, is unchanged at 5,000 times the bet.

The new touches aren’t drawbacks, but they’re not exactly game-changers either.
