Outlaws Hunter: Slot Overview

If there’s one corner of the world developer Stakelogic knows well, it’s the American West. The studio has returned to this territory in various ways more than once, just like plenty of other casino game creators. The scenery, the soundscape, and the anything-goes spirit keep proving hard to resist. This time the release is called Outlaws Hunter, and it drops players back into this harsh landscape for another shot at testing their luck in one of online gambling’s most notorious settings.

Outlaws Hunter uses a familiar backdrop. Action unfolds on a dusty main street in a nameless one-horse town—anywhere tumbleweeds roll by, sunbaked wooden buildings line the road, and someone could be hurled through a saloon window into a water trough without warning. Even if you boot up Outlaws Hunter without paying attention, the audio makes the theme instantly obvious. With its twangy guitars and wide-open-range vibe, the atmosphere is unmistakably Western, and while Outlaws Hunter isn’t the most visually distinctive Wild West slot we’ve ridden into, the sights and sounds still set a convincing outlaw scene.

Under the hood, Outlaws Hunter uses a low/medium volatile math model and delivers a theoretical return to player of 95.97%. There are two ways to play. The first is simply choosing a bet of 0.50 up to a maximum of 500 credits and hitting spin. The second option is enabling Super Stake, which doubles the bet cost. The upside isn’t explained in a totally straightforward way. The paytable notes that with Super Stake active, ‘an extra feature may trigger for as long as this special mode is active, at a frequency of once every 95.97 spins, on average‘. It’s not entirely clear what that translates to in practice, but that’s the stated info.

As for gameplay, Outlaws Hunter runs on a 5-reel, 4-row grid with 50 paylines, paying for three to five of a kind on a line. The pay symbols begin with a set of slanted 10-A card royals, returning 2-3x the bet for five-of-a-kind, while the higher-value icons include liquor glasses, horseshoes, hats, pistols, and gunslingers. Premium five-of-a-kind combinations award 6 to 10 times the stake. There are also wilds, appearing on all reels to replace all regular pay symbols, and they pay the same as the top-paying gunslinger symbol.

Outlaws Hunter: Slot Features

These aren’t standard wilds, though. In the base game, when a 1×1 wild symbol lands, it expands to fill the whole reel and reveals a random outlaw. Expanded outlaw wilds substitute for all symbols except scatters and include a multiplier. This can be x2-x10 for Billy the Kiddo, x5-x15 for El Mexicano, x7-x17 for Bella Star, or x10-x20 for Butcher Cassidy. If more than one wild lands on a payline, their multiplier values are added together before being applied to the payout. The wild can also reveal an outlaw called Angry Bear, but only from the third reel. Angry Bear also substitutes for any normal pay symbols. When it appears, the Tomahawk Wild feature activates and transforms all low-pay symbols in view into Wild Angry Bear symbols.

Hitting 3 scatter symbols triggers the free spins bonus. A wheel then spins and awards between 5 to 20 free spins. In free spins, 1×1 wilds reveal a multiplier of x2 to x500 and become sticky, remaining on the reels until the feature ends. Each wild’s multiplier is added into the Total Multiplier Counter, which then multiplies every win throughout the bonus.

Outlaws Hunter: Slot Verdict

Outlaws Hunter isn’t the kind of Wild Wild West ride that grabs gunslingers by the collar, yanks them off their horse, and forces a showdown whether they like it or not. Its math model is less volatile than many games in this theme, particularly those that lean heavily on wilds and multipliers. On the wild front, Outlaws Hunter offers plenty of variation—variety being the spice of life, as they say. With regular 1×1 wilds, full-reel wilds, and sticky wilds in the mix, anyone who enjoys wild-driven gameplay may find Outlaws Hunter worth a quick look—or a longer one.

Visually, Outlaws Hunter could have landed with more impact if Stakelogic had pushed the presentation further. The graphics are decent, and the soundtrack is about as Western as it gets. Still, the game feels a bit short on personality, and the fairly generic background doesn’t help. Having multiple characters appear through the wilds is a nice touch, but it feels like the studio could have leaned into that idea more. Put it next to standout Western titles like Dead or Alive, Deadwood, Tombstone RIP, or Wanted Dead or a Wild, and the difference in immersion is noticeable.

That said, it’s doubtful Stakelogic built Outlaws Hunter to go head-to-head with those ultra-volatile releases. The math model suggests it’s targeting a different type of player—someone interested in expanding wilds, sticky wilds, and multipliers, but without the harshness of the previously mentioned slots. With a relatively high minimum stake, it’s also not the most friendly option for low rollers.

Even so, this is the Wild West—where survival of the fittest and the “quick and the dead” mindset has been echoed across books, films, and games for decades—and Outlaws Hunter doesn’t fully capture that edge. Still, it’s easy to imagine certain players enjoying the game’s blend of mechanics, features, and setting.
