Outlaw: Slot Overview
They say two’s company and three’s a crowd, yet in books, films, and online slots, a strong trilogy can be hugely satisfying. Part one lays the groundwork and introduces the characters and their mission, part two expands the story while tying up some threads and opening new ones, and part three brings it all together for a finale. Along those lines, one of the more high-energy slot trilogies wraps up with Outlaw, the third entry in Big Time Gaming’s The Cult trilogy.
Outlaw steps in after Lil’ Devil and Wild Flower, and that’s a tough act to follow. While each game takes place in a different environment, the trilogy shares a signature style that makes it instantly identifiable. Outlaw keeps that identity intact, placing its familiar 6-reel layout in a blistering desert setting – supposedly not far from the original Bonanza mine, according to the studio. It’s the sort of landscape where counter-culture wanderers might drift into a little inner-space exploration, with sunbaked red rock and threatening clouds hanging overhead. The soundtrack stays more atmospheric in the base game, but Outlaw turns up the guitars when its four bonus rounds kick in.

Now it’s time for our own bit of inner-space digging as we break Outlaw down into its key parts. To start, the RTP is reliably strong for a Big Time Gaming release. There are two versions: standard play sits at 96.1%, while buying a bonus round nudges it up to 96.16%. Either way, prepare for a very high volatile experience, available across mobile, desktop, and tablet. When you’re ready to spin, you can choose stakes from 20 p/c to $/€20 per spin.
Outlaw runs on a non-cascading Megaways grid built from 6 reels, with up to 7 symbols per reel. Because reel heights vary, the number of win ways changes too, topping out at 117,649. Standard symbols pay for consecutive hits from the left, requiring at least three matching symbols, except for the top-value symbol which pays from two of a kind. That top icon is the familiar pink skull (first seen in DHV), followed by flowers, bottles, cacti, and A-9 card royals. Landing a six-of-a-kind win pays 0.3-0.4x the bet for royals, or 0.5 to 10x the stake for the four premium symbols.
Outlaw: Slot Features
Feature-wise, Outlaw blends familiar ideas with fresh tweaks, combining and reshaping them into something new. Below we go through full reel wilds, Fallen Angel Free Spins, Dizzy in the Head Free Spins, the enhanced versions, the Win Exchange, and the bonus buy.
Full Reel Wilds
The Wild Sheriff and Wild Outlaw are full reel wilds that can land on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5. Both replace any standard paying symbols, and any win they help form is multiplied by x7 for each Wild Sheriff that substitutes into that win.
Scatters
Outlaw includes two scatter types: a regular Silver Scatter and a Gold Megascatter. Hitting 3 or more scatters triggers free spins, and if a Gold Megascatter is among the triggering symbols, Enhanced Free Spins are awarded. Whenever either bonus type is activated, players can choose between Fallen Angel Free Spins and Dizzy in the Head Free Spins (or their enhanced variants). Entering the bonus rounds changes more than just the visuals too, as The Cult’s track ‘Outlaw’ starts playing for the duration of the feature.
Fallen Angel Free Spins

This feature starts with 7 free spins. Before the round begins, one random low-pay royal symbol is chosen to act as the Sticky Wild. Whenever that selected symbol lands on reels 2-5, it turns into a Sticky Wild and stays locked in place until the feature ends, while the number of symbols on that reel is locked too. If all positions on a single reel become filled with Sticky Wilds, you receive +3 extra free spins. In Enhanced Fallen Anger Free Spins, everything works the same, plus one of the high pay symbols is also selected to become the second Sticky Wild on reels 2-5. Scatters do not appear in either version of this bonus round.
Dizzy in the Head Free Spins

This mode awards 8 free spins in total. On every spin, a full reel Ladder Wild appears, displaying a multiplier up to x77. Any win that runs through the Ladder Wild receives that multiplier. Silver Scatters remain available during this feature, and landing 3, 4, or 5 of them grants 4, 6, or 8 extra free spins. In Enhanced Dizzy in the Head Free Spins, each time the Wild Ladder substitutes into a win, the ladder multipliers are increased for the rest of the feature, up to x777.
Win Exchange
If you land a win worth 100 times the stake or more, you can pay 100x the bet to buy free spins. Alternatively, when your win total falls between 25-100x the bet, you may choose to risk the win for a chance to win free spins or Enhanced Free Spins via two segmented prize wheels.
Bonus Buy
As another option, where the feature is available, players can purchase the standard bonus round for 70x the bet or the enhanced version for 300x the bet.

Outlaw: Slot Verdict
As the closing chapter of The Cult trilogy, Big Time Gaming doesn’t try to shock players with a radically new direction, instead leaning into the strengths that made the earlier games stand out. Or brutal, depending on your perspective and how those sessions went. There’s no doubt Outlaw can be a punishing experience like its predecessors – or a rewarding one, if fortune swings your way. The base game rolls along with a higher ceiling of win ways than the earlier titles and support from the two full reel wilds. That said, the Outlaw Wild can feel a little underwhelming once you notice it represents a single symbol rather than matching the full reel height that would otherwise land. The Sheriff works the same way, though it at least brings the x7 multiplier.
Once free spins or Enhanced Free Spins arrive, though, it’s absolutely game on, and there are multiple routes that can potentially get you there. Unlike earlier entries, eligible players don’t necessarily have to wait (patiently or otherwise) for the base game to cough up the required scatters. In fact, one of the first semi-organic triggers came from a roughly 31x the bet base game win, which then led to a successful Win Exchange spin and into Enhanced Free Spins. It does happen. And if you’d rather not hang around for the right chain of events, there’s also the direct bonus buy option, where offered.
Feature-wise, the game again echoes the earlier releases, but adds its own spin to the formula. Fallen Angel Free Spins was able to stack a decent number of Sticky Wilds, which is always good to see, but as with Wild Flower, it doesn’t include the Angel Wild/multipliers found in Lil Devil. Instead, the extra multiplier potential is focused on the two Dizzy in the Head Free Spins modes. The Enhanced version is clearly the most enticing of the pair, with the x777 sitting at the top of the ladder as a constant tease. Overall, that translates into potential of 14,000x in the base game and 64,400x in free spins.
It’s not the largest figure around, but it feels like an appropriate capstone for the trilogy. The same goes for Outlaw in general: while the three games share some DNA, each brings something distinct. Lil Devil earns its place as the opener, Wild Flower is known for its volatility, and Outlaw blends elements of both while adding a few ideas of its own. The result closes the series with a bang—maybe not as massive a bang as some expected, but a loud, rowdy one nonetheless.
