Neon Links: Slot Overview
Anyone craving a neon hit to liven things up has plenty to pick from in iGaming. Red Tiger, together with collaborators R7, adds another option to the list with Neon Links. It delivers the eye-catching punch you’d expect from neon lighting, paired with a bundle of classic slot imagery. It’s not a powerhouse title by any means, but Neon Links still has enough speed and small quirks to keep things fun for players after some relaxed, Vegas-style spinning.
Neon Links runs on a 5-reel, 10-payline layout framed by Polaroid-style photos of different hotels, assorted buildings, and their signs. During free spins the presentation is more subdued, but when the bonus kicks in everything glows in—of course—neon. Overall, it’s a surprisingly appealing blend of Miami Art Deco vibes, a touch of nostalgia, and plenty of loud fruit-slot energy. The audio is fairly restrained in the base game too, then ramps up for free spins.
Playable on tablets, desktop, or mobile, Neon Links lets you choose stakes from 10 p/c to $/€100 per spin. As is common with these standard Red Tiger releases—often sitting around $100k exposure—don’t expect a jaw-dropping max win multiplier. The default RTP is also fairly middle-of-the-road at 95.67%, with medium volatility setting the tone.
Gameplay is supported by two features: one that can occur in the base game and another that awards a set batch of free spins. Outside of those, it’s straightforward. Hit 3 to 5 matching symbols across one of the 10 fixed paylines and you’re paid. The paytable sticks to classic slot traditions, with clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades as the low symbols, paying 1.1 to 1.8x the bet for five of a kind. Above them are cherries, grapes, horseshoes, bells, and flaming 7s, which return 2.5 to 25 times the stake for a five-symbol line. There are no wilds, but each regular symbol also has a neon variant—read on.
Neon Links: Slot Features

Neon symbols pay the same as the standard versions, but they come with an extra trick. When 2 neon symbols land on the same row, every symbol sitting between them links and turns into the same matching neon symbol. So, if neon bells show up on reels 1 and 3, or 2 and 5, they’ll join up to form a three-of-a-kind or four-of-a-kind win, respectively.
The second feature is Vegas Spins, activated when 2 Vegas Spins symbols appear on the same row on reels 1 and 5. When this happens, you receive 10 Vegas Spins. Before the round starts, one neon symbol is randomly selected. Throughout the bonus, that symbol appears as 1×3 sized neon super symbols. During Vegas Spins, super symbols always drop in at full size. Just like in the base game, if 2 neon super symbols land in position, they connect everything between them and convert those symbols into the same neon super symbol type.
Neon Links: Slot Verdict
Neon Links looks slick on the surface, but it doesn’t fall into the trap of being pure style with nothing behind it. The two features help give it some substance. They’re uncomplicated, yet they can still deliver the occasional jolt—especially during free spins. In the base game, neon symbols regularly added an extra win or two, though usually not for big amounts. The neon super symbols are much more impactful in the bonus round. And while all the linking action plays out, Red Tiger keeps the visuals polished, coating the whole game in a classy, casino-like shine.
The free spins mechanic has a slight ‘book of’ vibe: a random symbol is chosen, it lands stacked, and then it’s used to connect wins across the reels. The payouts don’t measure up to most ‘book of’ titles, though, mainly because the symbol values are toned down. Full-screen wins are definitely possible and actually appeared fairly often during the review, but even then you’re capped at 250x for a screen full of 7s. Ultimately, the best you can realistically aim for in Neon Links is a modest 1050 times your stake.
Neon Links could have been a stronger release—one that carried the ‘book of’ spirit further while taking things in a fresher direction—but that isn’t the route Red Tiger chose. What’s here is clever in its own way, yet it needed more punch to truly stand out. In short, players who fit the intended audience should enjoy Neon Links, while others may be put off by its limited firepower.
