Napoleon Megaways: Slot Overview
Napoleon, that infamous (or admirable, depending on your perspective) figure who reshaped Europe and parts of the Middle East across the 18th and 19th centuries, returns once again. This time it’s for spinning reels rather than military campaigns, in Blueprint Gaming’s online slot Napoleon Megaways. Le Petit Caporal, as he was sometimes called, has already taken centre stage in Blueprint Gaming’s 2018 slot Napoleon Rise of an Empire, Napoleon Deluxe, and Lucksome’s Napoleon 2 – the one with the Fat Stacks in it. Also feeding into the DNA of Napoleon Megaways is Eye of Horus Megaways, which Napoleon Megaways has essentially been reskinned form, so man or woman, the binoculars for expanding wild symbols and symbol upgrade free spins.
Fog rolls across a gloomy battlefield, with a solitary cannon stationed in the lower right corner. In terms of presentation, there’s little to distinguish the Napoleon-themed slots from Blueprint and Lucksome. They found a look they enjoy, and they’ve kept it. With such a stripped-back base game screen, there isn’t a lot to analyse beyond noting that anyone who’s liked the style so far will likely be happy here as well. Unless, of course, they’re tired of grass and haze and craving more lively visuals—maybe even a battle scene or two. To be fair, the free spins round brings more of that sense of action.

Napoleon 2 widened the original’s play area, and Napoleon Megaways pushes that concept a step further. It’s not the biggest Megaways title ever made, but its 6 reels can drop up to 5 symbols on each, creating up to 15,625 ways to win. A look at the paytable shows the RTP in this medium-high volatile slot is 95.49%, and players can stake 10 c up to $/€10.
Riding into view are J to A card rank symbols, which return 0.4 times the stake for a 6-of-a-kind winning combination. Alongside them are drums, pistols, cannons, horses, ships, and soldiers, paying 0.8 to 20 times the bet for 6 OAK.
Napoleon Megaways: Slot Features

Don’t expect a long checklist here—Napoleon Megaways keeps things fairly lean, offering expanding Napoleon Wilds and free spins featuring a high pay symbol upgrade mechanic.
Napoleon Wild Symbol
The Napoleon Wild can appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5, and it substitutes for every symbol except scatters. When it lands, the Napoleon Wild expands to fill every position on the reel it hits.
Free Spins
Hitting 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols anywhere triggers a payout of 2x, 20x, 50x, or 100x the bet, respectively, along with 12 free spins. In the free spins round, every Napoleon Wild that lands upgrades the high-pay symbols in sequence. From drum to guns, guns to cannon, cannon to horse, horse to ship, and ship to soldier. In addition, landing 1, 2, 3, or 4 Napoleon Wilds grants an extra 1, 3, 5, or 7 free spins, respectively. Free spins can be retriggered, with a cash prize also awarded for landing 3+ scatters.

Napoleon Megaways: Slot Verdict
Replace the hieroglyphs and desert heat with cavalry, firearms, and a bicorne hat, and you’ve basically summed up Napoleon Megaways. Blueprint Gaming once again shows how adept it is at reusing ideas, and here it has blended two familiar slots into one package. That’s convenient for fans of Eye of Horus Megaways and/or Napoleon Rise of an Empire, though it may feel like more of the same to sceptics. For anyone who enjoyed Rise of an Empire, the wild multiplier effect might not feel quite as exciting this time. Wilds do technically add a multiplier effect because they count as the number of individual positions they cover once expanded, but it’s not identical to how Rise of an Empire applied a multiplier to a win line based on how many wilds were included. Bringing back the Napoleon Streak could have been a fun twist as well.
Napoleon Megaways doesn’t overcomplicate anything. For a Megaways slot, it’s notably straightforward, much like its earlier relative. One possible point to note is how many dead spins cropped up during the review. In both the base game and free spins, dead spins seemed to occur quite frequently. In the bonus, it sometimes felt as though the game was holding back its RTP—moving through symbol upgrades with small wins along the way—before finally delivering a reasonably solid hit. Or not. It was also notable how the grid occasionally struggled to land premium symbol wins, even after everything except the top symbol had been upgraded.
Still, like a well-timed infantry push, luck can swing things in the player’s favour, and at its best, Napoleon Megaways tops out at €/$250,000 without stating the exact xbet potential. The upside is that players familiar with Blueprint Gaming and friends’ portfolios should have a very clear sense of what they’re getting, with minimal risk of unpleasant surprises if they decide to play. The downside is the same: disappointment may follow if you hoped Napoleon Megaways would deliver a meaningful step forward rather than simply reinforcing what came before.
