Miami Mayhem: Slot Overview
Some places earn such a strong identity through pop culture, history, or headlines that simply hearing the name instantly brings certain scenes and vibes to mind. Miami is one of those cities, having served as the setting for films, TV series, and plenty of online slots. This time, software provider Hacksaw Gaming has slapped on the sunscreen and headed to the notorious hotspot, inviting players along—not for retail therapy, beach lounging, or admiring Art Deco buildings, but to dive into the criminal underworld of the online slot Miami Mayhem.
Run an image search for Miami and you’ll rarely see it rendered in the same pink, purple, pastel palette used in Miami Mayhem (and similar titles). Maybe that look is a leftover nod—credit or blame—to the 1980s show Miami Vice. There also seems to be a clear Grand Theft Auto vibe, as the game’s crime run unfolds in stages. It starts in the base game on a street where a guy grips a baseball bat, then moves to The Hit bonus round with a seriously stacked character cracking his knuckles inside a safe, followed by the We Split bonus where a bat-wielding woman looks ready to fuel up for the escape, before culminating in Get Lit—a hidden bonus game that can only be triggered naturally. If you reach that point, the job is probably going very, very well.

To join the chaos, players pick a stake from 10c to $/€100 per spin, with the action unfolding on a 5×4, 14-payline setup. With a maximum RTP of 96.35% (and three lower options available), Miami Mayhem carries a volatility score of 4 out of 5, placing it in the medium-high range.
At the lower end of the paytable are 10-A card ranks, which return 1x for 5 OAK, followed by spiked knuckle dusters, a drink, a mechanical gadget, Roxie Rizz, and Diego el Fuego as the top-paying symbols. A five-of-a-kind hit with a premium symbol pays 3x to 10x the bet. Wilds—both standard and full reel—replace any regular paying symbol and deliver 10x for a line of five.
Miami Mayhem: Slot Features

Full reel wilds are central to how Miami Mayhem plays. They appear not only in the base game but also across the three bonus rounds—The Hit, We Split, Get Lit—and players can also purchase feature access via the bonus buy.
Expanding Crew Reels
When a Crew symbol lands, it will expand into a Crew Reel provided that expanding it creates at least one win. Crew Reels fill the whole reel and show 1 of the 5 Crew Members. Reels 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 correspond to Ghosting Gordo, Roxie Rizz, Vinny the Vice, Lola la Reina, and Diego el Fuego, respectively. Crew Reels act as wild on every position they occupy. When a Crew Reel expands, it can be wild-only, or it can reveal a multiplier of x2 to x100. If multiple multipliers contribute to the same win, the values are combined.
Missions
A Mission begins when a Wanted symbol appears on the grid. Once triggered, it activates the Wanted Level Bar, selects a Mission Target, and grants 3 respins. The Mission Target is a random high-pay symbol. If a winning combination featuring the selected symbol lands during the respins, the Mission is complete. A fresh Mission then starts, the Wanted Level increases by at least +1 step, and respins reset back to 3. After the Mission Level reaches 5, it stays at that level, and additional Missions with new respins may continue triggering until a Mission is failed.
As the Wanted Level rises, the minimum multiplier available on expanded Crew Reels increases too. At Wanted Level 0, expanded Crew Reels are always wild. Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 ensure a minimum multiplier of x2, x5, x10, x15, and x25 on expanded Crew Reels, respectively. If the respins end before completing the Mission, the Mission fails, the Wanted Level resets, and the feature ends. Expanded Crew Reels do not count as targets.
The Hit Bonus Game
10 The Hit free spins are awarded by landing 3 FS scatters in the base game. The core base game rules remain, but there’s a bigger chance of hitting Crew symbols. Wanted Levels are also progressive across the bonus, and one Mission is triggered from the start, although Mission respins are not given. In this bonus and the next, landing 2 or 3 FS scatters grants +2 or +4 free spins, respectively.
We Split Bonus Game
Landing 4 FS scatters in the base game triggers the We Split round, awarding 10 free spins. Alongside The Hit mechanics, a Mayhem Bar appears outside the reels. The Mayhem bar contains one segment per reel. If a win includes an expanded Crew Reel, that Crew Reel is stored in the Mayhem Bar beneath its reel. Only one Crew Reel can be stored in each segment. After the last free spin, the Mayhem Bar activates and launches a Crew Spin where every stored Crew Reel is reactivated, with multipliers based on the Wanted Level.
Get Lit Hidden Epic Bonus
Landing 5 FS scatters in the base game awards 10 free spins in the Get Lit round. Get Lit uses The Hit mechanics, with the added rule that at least one Crew symbol is guaranteed to land on each spin. Also, the Wanted Level is at 5 for the entire bonus. Missions do not trigger in this mode, and FS scatters cannot appear.
Feature Buy
Miami Mayhem includes a feature buy offering BonusHunt FeatureSpins for 3x the bet, making each spin 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus game. It also includes Beach Please FeatureSpins at 50x, which guarantees at least 2 expanding Crew Reels land, and Mayhem Mode FeatureSpins for 50x, guaranteeing 1 Wanted symbol lands. Two bonus rounds can be purchased: The Hit for 100x or We Split for 300x.

Miami Mayhem: Slot Verdict
No matter what direction they take, the Hacksaw Gaming team keeps circling back to its signature full reel wild, full reel wild multiplier mechanic. The studio has truly made this idea its calling card and has deployed it across a large number of slot. That isn’t necessarily a complaint, but anyone who feels they’ve already had enough of the concept may not be eager for another serving in Miami Mayhem. Still, Hacksaw Gaming is known for fresh ideas, and the team consistently finds ways to pair those full reel wilds with something different. Sometimes it’s a small twist, sometimes a bigger one—but without that creativity, the mechanic might have faded away or been retired long ago.
Here, Miami Mayhem’s Crew Reels come with a solid set of complementary systems. For one, each reel’s Crew Wild is tied to a specific character, adding flavour and identity—somewhat similar to the range of full reel wild types seen in Nolimit City’s Brute Force Alien Onslaught. Then there are Missions, and when they go your way, they can seriously enhance the Crew Reels potential. In fact, the first Mayhem Mode activation delivered close to 1,000x, which naturally helped the overall impression. Wins are capped at 15,000x the bet, and considering the tools Miami Mayhem provides—especially the tempting potential inside the hidden Get Lit round—this doesn’t feel out of reach for exceptionally fortunate crew members. Of course, it’s still gambling, and not every slot session—or crime run—plays out as intended.
So yes, Hacksaw Gaming has once again rolled out expanding, full reel, multiplying wilds, which may test the patience of some players. But credit where it’s due: the studio puts them to strong effect in a Grand Theft Auto with gambling-style experience that can crack a vault wide open when the crew hits its stride.
